2003 made in usa
see musicyo.com for everything

I really did not care for the emg pickups. cold and sterile so if you like cold and sterile music then this guitar is for you I guess. Otherwise get something else! but to be fair if you use a ton of distortion and a ton of pedals then it makes no diff

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
The action was the biggest disappointment. I heard all sorts of good things about steinberger guitars and this was atrociously bad. There is no way I could play this guitar just no way unless I used vice grips to fret with.

finish looks okay but Ive seen lots better

for the $ the guitar is $hockingly $ucklicious

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion

I've played nearly 15 years and owned 4 guitars: MIM strat; Brian Moore; Parker NiteFly; Jackson Soloist

The only guitar I really like is the Parker which by the way smokes a steinberger on any day of the week.

The steiny looks good and feels good at first but put together badly

Everybody says the trem on these guitars is great but I don't see the big deal. A floyd original stays in tune as well or better.

I do like the headless idea but not if it comes with this guitar.

When I got this guitar in the mail I was furiously angry withing 15 or 20 minutes. I hate the fact that I'm out the return shipping on this piece of crap.

2003 I assume it was made in USA as the price would indicate.
24 frets headless graphite blend neck, 2 passive EMG humbuckers with volume and tone(knobs from China), Locking S-trem bridge (from Japan). Included Hardcase.

Sound : 6
No dropouts that I could find on the frets. But it sounds muddy, not much clarity. I've never liked EMG's personally. Thought I would try again.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 4
The action was a bit high, so after adjusting it played well. All components fit fairly well together but the finish was the big let down. This is the Third and and Last try at buying from Music Yo. I dont know who they have painting their guitars but something needs to improve especially for the price. I noticed, orange peel at the neck heel joint, lint embedded into the finish, They painted over the binding, and also rash marks front and back probably due to poor wood filling. The guitar also had usage marks as if they restocked a used return. (unless they play with the guitarts themselves before shipping. Hey they're guitar players like you and me, why wouldnt they?) Never the less Its a shame that a good name is ruined by poor quality at the mercy of low quantity.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
It feels solid and stable, I wont be able to test this out however It is getting sent back.

Customer Support : 8
Once you get through to someone they are polite. And they have refunded all my returns fully to this date.

I have been playing 22 years and I know what I can get for the money. This was shabby if anything. The novelty of a headless guitar and the look of something from the early years of Steinberger sound are the only selling points. It really doesn't offer much else. And there is no way that S-trem is worth $500. 3 strikes, you're out MusicYo.
