Acoustic-Electric guitar retrofitted with a Clip-Joint,
Neck, and Grover tuners by Stewart Guitar Company. The neck's heel has a steel plate with eight screws attached.
It can be completely removed from the body, which has a
steel connector mounted to it. Easy to follow instructions are included for assembly & disassemby of the neck and body. What is totally unique is that the neck can be taken
off and put back on with the two large thumb screws on the back of the body of the guitar. The steel plate on the heel of the neck comes off the body's connector with the strings still attached to the Grover "JB" self-locking tuners and to the bridge of the body! A capo placed on the first fret can be used to keep the strings in the nut slots.
The guitar arrived without incident from Woody Stewart.
When I received the guitar, the neck and body were safely packed inside the gig bag, which had two velvet lined compartments (one for the neck and one for the body of the guitar). The strings passed through the notch in the end of the velvet padded divider from the neck to the acoustic style saddle and bridge of the body. The size of the bag is 15" X 24" X 5" and can travel by plane, train or automobile without the hassles of the typical acoustic guitar.

This guitar is quite veratile, plugged or unplugged and is
easy to play for my folk style of play. I mostly play it
unplugged and there is plenty of acoustic sound. The pickup is under the saddle and the controls are on the top side of the upper bout of the body of the guitar.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action is quite nice not too low and not too high. The
Rosewood fretboard is smooth and comfortable for my hand and fingers and the tuners are in easy reach and adjust.
The neck is beautiful too! It's fun to play!
Reliability/Durability

The guitar can used "live" playing sitting or standing.
Hardware is new on the neck and the top of the body of the
guitar has been refinished. Neck is brand new. Strap
buttons are solid and I believe I can depend on this guitar
for a long time. I could use it on a gig without a backup.

I've been playing guitar off and on for over 30 years. I
have a 1966 or 1967 Yamaha FG-110 acoustic guitar. No,
this is the guitar I wished for many years. I would buy it again, if stolen or lost. I love the fact that I can take
the neck completely off and re-attach it to the body of the
guitar! No, there was no other brand of guitar to compare
it to the Stewart Guitars. I chose the Stewart Guitar Co.
because it was the only one I could find with a removable
neck capability.
