Subway Guitars Danelectro Pro-1

I ordered a rebuilt/Frankenstein Danelectro Pro-1 over the phone in March, maybe April, of 2000. Boy was I excited!! Over the course of the next few months I would call to check on the progress... I was told that "it's coming, it's coming" in increasingly impatient tones by various people who bothered to pick up the phone. It's now almost September and it's clear to me that a guitar I was ready to pay more than $500 is in fact a figment of my imagination. To make matters worse, I've been made to feel that I'm nagging them, even though they took my credit card and address and everything. Do I mark this up to a classic Northern California lack of critical thought and heavy weed damage? Why, yes I do. My understanding from friends is that Subway Guitars do good work - the follow up question is, when exactly do they do it??
