Obviously, as its Suhr, each instrument is made for the customer, to any specs.
I went for the GG model, its a beautiful axe, 24 frets, H/S/H suhr pickups. tappable neck. Mahogany body and neck with a pau ferro fretboard. stainless steel jumbo frets, on an new neck profile (the modern elliptical .850 i believe) It has a beautiful flamed top in bengal burst, which i specd to be as close to guthries as possible...and they didnt dissapoint.
great recessed wilkinson style trem, the best part being that the recessed part is lined with felt so theres never a clunk when you pull up all the way. its also fitted with a tremol-no so it can function as a fixed bridge, a strat trem, or a floyd.
Locking machineheads.
came in a fitted hardcase with a fret protector.
and the best till last
a blower switch, when pressed it disengages the volume tone and pickup selector putting you to the bridge with full volume, so you can go from a rolled back funky out of phase sound to soaring leads at the press of a button!

wow....just wow...the sustain from the mahogany is amazing. Im playing through a Cornford hellcat stack...just amazing. It just IS guthrie. engage the blower switch and it SCREAMS
and because of the electrics its perfectly suited to ANY style, the splitable neck, the automatic spliting for out of phase sounds.
The ONLY thing that could be improved is the responsiveness of the tone knob...but thats REALLY nit picking
Action, Fit, & Finish

flew from the states, was intune out of the case! The action is PERFECT. virtually FLAWLESS the only complaint (and its a preference thing) is that the neck pickup was a little low (in comparision to the bridge)
Reliability/Durability

simple. I could sell my other guitars and never need them. This thing is perfect. The only reason i use the other guitars is the fear of damaging this one!

The guys at suhr got ALOT of emails from me, and they ALWAYS took the time to reply, true gents. Based on this, i will never buy from another company

Ok sure it costs 2X the price of most guitars, and its not twice as good, but as we all know, you have to pay alot, to get that little bit more. But when you have it, you cant live without it. If this was stolen....i couldnt afford a new one....id hunt the thief down and burn him.
