this was my first guitar ever. then sold it, forgot about it till i came across one in the pawnshop for eur100. bought it, liked it, love it!
neck says made in india. standard strat setup. mine is pearl white with rosewood neck. 22 frets with jumbo wire. my guess is someone beefed up the hardware a little.

Sound : 10
because it's made of REALLY heavy wood it's got tons of sustain and a very good round tone except on bridge pickup which sounds thin. i play this on stage through a variety of tube amps without any effects and afterwards people always compliment on my sound, so eh yeah this thing rocks!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
brand new they were probably terrible but when dressed up right it plays like a dream. pickups are stock, might replace the bridge for a humbucker for fat sound. overall woodwork and fit of the neck/body is excellent.

Reliability/Durability : 8
cause it's so heavy i suspect you could drive over it with a tank and just play on. it's been the only guitar i take with me for 5 years now and it never lets me down.

Customer Support : No Opinion
nevermind...

Overall Rating : 10
considering it's the cheapest guitar i could find this is a gem. the guys at the pawnshop were happy to get rid of it but i think it's better than a stock new fender! i've been playing for 15 years now and besides this one i own a dean pantera and a firebird, but this remains my favourite. i would buy one again and again! don't judge it on brand name only! the first one i had stated "by fender" under the sunn brand!

21 fret s/s/h typical strat copy. Made in India about 20 years ago with a very nice finish.

Sound : 8
Surprisingly good. I enjoy playing a range of styles and this, like all strats should be, is a very adaptable instrument. The original pickups still sound decent considering the guitar had been neglected before I rescued it. Overall though, this guitar gives the variety you would expect from a strat and sounds good across all ranges.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
The action hardly needed any adjustment at all and the fretting was excellent. The bridge and tuning pegs were in perfect condition. The only flaws regarded the cheap knobs and pickup selector control - although still functional, they could do with being replaced.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is built to last. I would have no hesitation using this without a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No idea.

Overall Rating : 8
I have owned and/or played many strats and strat copies over the years and am impressed with the overall quality of this instrument. I would have no hesitation in recommending this guitar.

A great afforadable stratocaster realesed by Fender. Very heavy wood body, no cheapy plywoo here, basically bullet proof smacked about for the best part of 20 years with only a few marks for its trouble. Great thick neck, heaveyl laquered giving a great expensive looking vintage finish, although i suppose it is nearly 20. Mines is one of the Indea models not the cheapy inferior china models. Mnes is a 1989, and they ceased production in 1990 so there pretty rare i gather. Mines is routed SSH and has a nice warm mellow sound but also a kickass gritty bridge pick up.

Sound : 10
Agan great sound range from mellow to relatiely gritty suits most styles except metal. but his can be eaily achievd using distortion pedals, i use a Daphone OD20.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
mines was second hand but in great nick, 18 years and no problems, except the tone pot on mines is crackly bt thats just with age i guess.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Will i last???, well yeah 20 years and still going strong, still has the original strap buttons which are screwed in deeply and show no signs of budging. I've gigged it before without back up and it never let me down, i'd buy another one if one i could find one the ight side of ??250

Customer Support : 10
No problems = No support needer

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing it for 15 years now and 've played many other guitars but prefer this. Personally i think i beats anything fender have produced under ??400 since, only fender japs and yankies beat mines. If it were stolen, i'd kill the bastard that stole it then go looking for it. if lost i'd just have to grin and bear the ??250 price tag in my local guitar shop.

black strat shape, i think from the laye 90s. lovely, playable maple neck and fret board, not so keen on the three single coil pick ups. but has an ok trem bridge

Sound : 7
i play grunge/heavey metal and it dose the job, but i have a gibson les paul but i alway pick this up first, i use it in a marshal stack on stage and vox ac30 at home. tends to feed back very easily but i like that, tends to buzz when not beening played but i am bout to change the bridge pick up for EMG soon. The sound is ok just of a normal budget guitar. but its still cool

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
i got the guitar 3rd hand off a kid at school for ??20 BARGIN! it had not been played for 2 years, just stayed in its case. it was pritty well set up. had to adjust the pick ups to closer to the strings for a loader out put, i'v scene that loads of people have changed the bridge but i don't see the problem its ok but the bridge pick up on mine need to be changed. machine heads are all ok stay in tune on mine but has a few scratches and dents but that because of it history tho (don't ask)

Reliability/Durability : 8
i have used this guitar loads live and it does its job. it feels that it could last for a long time, its pratically indestructible i've thrown it at amps at walls but its so durable its like its made out of stone lol but its lighter then stone lol. the paint is starting to come off from my pick whilst playin the guitar but i'm thinking of sanding it down and repainting it

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to try

Overall Rating : 8
i'v been playing out 3 years, i have a gibson les paul standard and an epiphone les paul special 2 and of course the sunn mustang, i use a marshal stack and vox ac30 and some fxs pedals. if i lost my sunn i would deffently get another one form the same year tho. i love its smove, playable neck and how comfortable and light it is. hate its pick ups but thats it rely after that its a great guitar. i got the sunn because i needed something light and durable to carry to practices and jamin sessions but i love it as much has my les pauls. there rely cool guitars!

I was given this bass as a project to restore, I've cleaned it up and got the pickups working. The neck stamp dates it back to August 1968 so this is an old bass. P Bass copy basically, it follows the design right down to the headstock (this was built before Fender and Gibson started sueing guitar manufacturers for copying their designs)

Sound : 6
The sound is quite powerful and it being a P-Bass works well with most styles of music.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Its a heavy bitch and you can feel the weight after a while, the neck also has a vintage style paint on the neck (its also a large neck but it fits comfortably enough). My friend has gigged it and says it holds up well.

Customer Support : No Opinion
i think they closed down but im not going to deal with them because i doubt they could help.

Overall Rating : 7
If it were stolen i'd have a hard time replacing it as its outta production. Its a good bass but its heavy and the neck causes cramp in your hand after a while. I really like it because it is almost 40 years old but its not in the greatest shape (a few dings).

30 watt practice amp made in Taiwan by FMIC (Fender Musical Instruments Corp) in the 80's?
Cab measures 19"x16"x11" - quite big for a practice amp which means there's room in the cab for a 10" speaker and room for some air to move too.

Input 1*Input 2*Volume*Master*Treble*Middle*Bass*Line Out*Headphones.

Handle on top with Fender logo.

All the features I'd want thank-you very much.

Sound : 10
I use it with a Precision and it sounds lovely.
Nice and bassy and actually goes loud enough to jam with a drummer.
Usually use it at low volumes for solo practice and the sound is smooth and creamy and makes you want to play just five minutes more.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Reliable.

Duh?

Overall Rating : 10
Cool retro look and feel.
Fendery but just a bit different with that legendary Sunn name.
Have been playing a long time and wouldn't look any further for a practice combo.
Nice one.

There are Sunn Mustangs and Sunn Mustangs and this is one of the good ones.
Japanese-made in the 70's, reputedly from Fender USA parts and I for one believe that may be true.
This is essentially a Fender Precision put together very carefully by Japanese workers and badged as a Sunn Mustang by FMIC (Fender Musical Instruments Corporation). Later Sunn Mustangs were put together in India from Japanese parts and whilst infinitely superior to the Strat-a-like Sunn Mustang 6-strings, the Indian jobs were not a patch on the early Japanese models.

Sound : 10
Vintage sound. Pick-ups are not wildly powerful just smooth and nice.
Brass saddles on bridge help create a tuneful sustain.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Very well put together.
Precisions are so simple and yet how often do you play one you're totally satisfied with?
This guitar is so easy to set up - neck is slender and so straight, frets are really well finished and the brass-saddled bridge is a joy.
Truss rod protrudes anout half an inch above the nut like on cheap old Japanese copies - I can see that some would find this lack of refinement irritating but I just find it endearing!

Reliability/Durability : 10
This bass is thirty plus years old and has improved with age.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing a long time and this is my favourite bass.
I would have to pay about a thousand dollars for a genuine old Fender that I might prefer so I think I'll just stick with my old Sunn. If you get a chance to try one then do - if it feels like an old Fender then get it, if it feels like an old copy then leave it alone. Believe me, you'll be able to tell...
