I like the adjustable neck and also the single coils, I also use Seth Lovers in my Charvel, but love the dirty sound I can get with the singles.
Kluson tuners. I purchased this from the John Van Horn family and John Jr, told me it was in the attic since he can remember.
John Van Horn used to play with Link Wray, and it came with a nice package of pictures with John and Link in similar poses. Also John played it on his last album called "I've got the Cure", in which he posed in the exact promo pose as Link. John Jr. said he thought it was Link's old guitar and on the John Sr. album, Mick Fleetwood encouraged him to put the CD out, and of course "Rumble" was on it.
John played with Mick and with David Letterman's drummer, who played on the album, Anton Fig is great.
It also came with a signed CD of the "Cure" CD. I love the thick necks like on the old 58 Les Pauls, it is like half a base-ball bat, but comfortable and allows really long playing without fatigue in my hand.
This guitar was made in mid 1958.

I use it with a modified Roland VGA 3. It's sound was horrible, but with my mod (I do electronics), it is smooth and ballsy. I also use a modded Marshall, like number 36, if you know what that means. I have a national amp too, but only use that for clean sounds with my Charvel.
This guitar has awesome sound, and sure I switch off with humbuckers, but the sound of single coils is easy to get high volume off of, which agrees with my music. I play it loud and love it.

I used to have another one, back when I had about 50 guitars, but decided that this guitar could hold up to about anything, so I sold the other one to someone in Germany.
