Setup for the electronics on this guitar is a little out of the ordinary. There is one master volume for two pickups, and a pickup switch. Betweem the pickups are 6 brass grommets that seem to serve no purpose. However insert a screwdriver into the holes and you can adjust the tone and volume settings for all three pickup combinations. COOL! Otherwise it is a rather nice little jazz box. Mine was jet black with gold hardware, very deco looking. I believe the pickups were single coil although they looked like humbuckers.

I really liked this guitar for playing jazz and blues. It had a woody , very funky sound. Sounded cheap, in a good way. It really sucked for rock, unless you're looking for that cheezoid Neil Young thing. This is not a versatile guitar but what it does it does well. I traded it for a National map guitar (Don't remember the model) and boy was that a mistake. I really miss the Supro. The national looked cool but basically sucked seawater.

The feel of this axe was amazing. it played just easy enough without practically playing itself, ( for those who like to dig in a little). There was a little too much plastic on it for my taste, but it is a Supro!

Other than some minor rust on the machines, this guitar was in excellent shape. It was probable 15 years old when I got it and the finish was almost factory. Everything worked as it should and I never had a problem with it. Felt solid so I would have to rate this a battle axe.

I've been playing for 41 years and can't even begin to remember all the gear I've been through.Currently I play a Gretsch Duo Jet, Epiphone sheridan, Two Fender Strats (one heavilly modified),Danelectro 12 string, Silvertone Amp in Case (without case), Epiphone PR5E accoustic electric (aparently the only one on the planet worth a shit from the reviews I've read). My amp is a Crate GFX 65, and my effects unit is a Zoom GFX 8. I'd have more but I'm supporting a keyboard habbit too!
