Appears to have been made in the 1980s or earlier. Made in Japan - K. Suzuki Violin Co. Bought in Ottawa. Solid Top. No pickups. Don't know what kind of wood but the fingerbood is separate wood from the neck, and all decent quality, solid wood top. Exact same bridge, machine heads, etc. as the first F-80 reviewed here. Nice figure 8 body.

It is not a large acoustic but has a warm and full sound, especially with phospher-bronze strings. Great for Neil Young type folk.

The guitar is well-made. The action is pretty good and it stays in tune. Simple and clean. No complaints.

This guitar is fine for live playing but does not have the depth of a larger volume guitar. Everything is solid. I would use it live.

I have played this for 15 years. It is my only acoustic. It has matured nicely and had a nice sound. It may be in the small side in terms of volume and depth, but I would not want to part with this guitar, that's for sure.

I dont know what year it was made in but my father bought it in Dublin in the 1970s. the name sugggessts it was made in Japan. It has 22 frets and is joined at the 14th fret. The top is either spruce or ceder with long grain lines running the length of the body. It is the type that one side appears darker than the other side in certin light and vice versa. The top is solid by the way. there areno pickupsor controls -totaly natural. The body and neck woods are good quality mahogony. there is a light gloss finish on the body and neck. The body is in the style of an early C.F Martin guitar with a lovely curvy figure of '8' shape. The bridge is the normal steel string acustic bridge with the pegs. The tuners are regular cromed tuning pegs but when the guitar is turned over they are backed by a decorative plate securing it to the head of the guitar. the plate is topped off with lires(old stringed instrument). the neck is a standard scale with a rich rose wood finger plate.

I have been playing for 3 years now and I usualy play acustic rock music on it such aas led Zeppelin and the likes. It workes realy well with light gague bronse coated strings. thesestrings give a warm rich tone wiich I am acustomed to. I havent played many other guitars but those I have played (Tackamines mostly) cant compare with it unpluged
