Features : 7
Made in Japan 1970's acoustic guitar, thin 3ply top X-braced looks Spruce, concert shape, dark back sides looks rosewood, neck looks like mahogany, dark rosewood 20 fret-board, 50's style tuners "Suzuki & Co EST 1951" in gold on headstock, tortoise shell truss rod cover on headstock, black pickguard, black and white lines around soundhole and edges/binding, top laquer seems thinner for tone, back sides and neck laquer vglossy and tough, standard bridge w/adjustable saddle height screws each end.

Sound : 8
This guitar is definately blues, glass slide in particular sounds magic, the tone wills you toward the style instantly. New strings give a good loud rich warm tone med/light flatwounds at the moment are sounding v-nice (w/unwound G) tuned to open D.
The playability of this guitar makes it really only good for slide.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Action is terribly high, virtually unplayble as a regular guitar as the notes go sharp upon the distance the strings have to go to get to the frets...seriously.
As far as i can tell it was prob made this way or close to it as the neck is perfectly straght and there is no flex in either the top or sides around the neck join.
Finish is immaculate, perfect beutifully grained bookmatched woods on the body, comfortable C-shape neck lighly grained prob mahogany.
If the Action was like this on purpose then Id give it an 8-9 but if it were unintentional id have to give it a 2. Id like to think it was meant to be a slide guitar given the quality of the tone.

Reliability/Durability : 7
Built very well, solid, holds tune quite well. Nothing on this guitar will break or wear out with regular/hard playing for a very long time if ever.
Tuners, nut & bridge could need an upgrade if playing in live situations to help tuning stability, otherwise very sturdy.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Bought it in a second hand shop, never had to touch a thing apart from the strings.

Overall Rating : 7
Playing for over 20 years, mainly rock, own many acoustics and electrics.
If it were stolen or lost Id prob get another guitar for slide & blues style much like this, it is unlikely there are many of these about round here.
Love the tone, glass slide sounds better on this than guitars worth many thousands. Think Ry Cooder. Would be great to be able to use fretbord occasionaly tho.
Bought it for $75 in a second hand store, sounded good open tuned so got it for slide practice.
