Features; I, too, purchased my W-30A Violin finish in a little upstate NY shop in 1980.....I still have it to this day. The Dread body delivers absolutely solid bass end but also manages to deliver a clear and crisp treble end, too. Pretty much unheard of in my 30+ years of playing. The neck is so sweet, narrow and thin. I beat this guitar, on the road, for several years and I finally had to retire my "Road Warrior" out of respect.

I played this guitar with several different acoustic ensembles and one or two electric bands and the sound was always greeted with a WTF??? Can I play that? It was unbelieveable to many different musicians that I have played with that the sound was that freakin' good from a "Jap" guitar. For those of you who don't know...Suzuki Violin Company est.1889.......

When I bought the axe, I took it to a local luthier (rather than the local music shop) and had it set up and had a pre-amped behind the bridge pick-up installed. Had it dressed out once a year after that...never had a problem since. This guitar was actually ina case for the last three years with a set of D'Addario J-16s on it and we needed an extra axe at a jam at my house. I brought it out, retuned the G and B strings and it was still in tune and STAYED in tune for the next three hours that we played it!!!!!

It is my Road Warrior. The sound hole is all chipped down to raw wood on the bottom, the back is covered in "wormwood" marks from the rivets on my Levi's and it has several cigarette burns on the headpiece. Never changed the tuners, replaced the nut and bridge with bone a few times and had the fretboard dressed about four or five times in 20n years.........I played it A LOT!!! To this day, it would be my guitar of choice if I had to hit the road again.

I currently play a Suzuki W-35(KISO Suzuki Violin Co.,LTD, est.1951...I believe that this company was started by the grandson of the original)and it has all of the characteristics of my original. Same neck, same sound, same pure delight when you play it. I have owned Fenders, Ovations, Epiphones, Ibanez, etc, etc...fifteen or more and the only two in my house are Suzukis

have been playing it over 20 years and every time I pick it up it
still amazes me I would never sell it if something happened to it
I would really hate it dont really like to think about it. I have been playing new martins at dealers and taylors too the taylors come
the closest it would be hard to replace

I bought this guitar used around 1977. It is originial and has done me well. The sound, tone and volumne is unsurpassed in most guitars I have played. The action is smooth. Everyone that has played it, has wanted to buy it from me. No deal. I have had no problems with it, except for some wear on the fret board(I wonder why!!!). I understand it is a martin D-35, but that is unconfirmed. I have the original case. Anyone that can send me anymore information on this guitar please contacts me at the attached email addres..
