I have both the Innovo III custom and the Future IV MIDI. I Think these are the best guitars I've ever Played. The Innovo III has 22 medium-large frets with a remarkable Ebonite fretboard that makes playing it a one of a kind experience. It's as smooth as silk and as fast as lightning, I don't think there is a guitar that compares. The Future IV has the same feel.
All Switch guitars are one piece injection molding using Vibracell Technology. If You don't know what that is check out www.switchmusic.com .My pickup configuration is EMG Selects humbucker in the bridge and two single coil(middle and neck position), these are passive pickups. Metallic silver(Innovo III) and blue fire mist (Future IV). Both body styles are of Switch design. the Innovo has a wilkinson trem that has adjustable string height which I really dig. It has locking Grover tuners. It comes with a gig bag and strap and the tools for adjustments.

I play Metal and Jazz. Each guitar is configure to my specs for each style. I use Line6 POD and guitar port for practice and demo recording. Roland's Cube 60 sounds awesome with it. The Sustain is amazing due to the transfer of energy thru the Ebonite fretboard to the pickups. With the 5 way switch I can get any kind of tone I really want. The configuration of pickups allows me to get a warm jazz tone to a heavy distorted tone for metal.

When the guitars arrived I was very impressed, the guitars were playable and just needed a little fine tuning. The are several points that I love about this guitar. There is no wood in it. The neck is absolutely fantastic, and the guitar has a perfect balance to it.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I think they are very sturdy in construction and that if you use quality parts like Switch uses then it should be no problem using it live. The only reason I would have another one live is for the MIDI synth I use. This guitar will definately last!

Everyone at Switch has been very kind, and I would like to thank them for taking all of my phone calls.

I've Been playing for 18 years. I'm the guitarist for Winters Bane. These are the only guitars I'll use to do my new CD with, except for an Ibanez 7 string, because Switch doesn't make one.
favorite feature is the neck, A finely crafted guitar that really impressed me.

2003 Switch Innovo IV guitar. Switch is a New Guitar Company out of Southern California. These Guitars were designed by Trev Wilkinson and They feature a New concept - These guitars are made from Vibracell. Vibracell is a material that was designed to emulate the tonal qualities of wood. So you get the great resonant quality and great tone of wood and, every guitar that is made is very consistent form guitar to guitar. The finger board is 22 fret rosewood (25 1/2 inch scale) with very nice fret work. One volume and one tone, Wilkinson bridge (VS-50K) and Wilkinson designed pick-ups (two humbuckers), Grover locking tuners. I got the guitar in Blue FireMist (Very Beautiful).
I think it would be very cool if Switch added a coil tap on the neck and bridge pick-ups. This would give you a couple single-coil tones to play with also. I am still going to give a rating of 10 for this category because this guitar just sounds and plays so good.

These Guitars ROCK!!!! I received my Innova IV and have been playing it almost non-stop. I am amazed at how well this guitar plays and sounds - and the Guitar Looks Very Cool! and is very comfortable and well balanced. This guitar is very resonant and the action is GREAT!. Also the pick-ups are very good (I really love the buttery smooth flow of the neck pickup. If you want very fluid and buttery/liquid fast runs? Arpeggios? Well you got it. The bridge pick-up has great Distortion and is harmonically rich - and it cleans up very nice when backing down the volume. The pick-ups sound very nice clean also. The guitar out of the box was set-up very very nicely. I did not have to make any adjustments to the neck or pick-ups at all. The Guitar came packed very well.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is very well made and will hold up very well to live playing, and recording.... And from what I have heard and read about vibracell it is supposed to be resistant to moisture and temperature changes. So that means less tweeking of the truss rod from changes of seasons or enviroment.

Customer Support : 10
The Switch people are helpful, and very very friendly - very easy to deal with.
