Beautifully matched pre-ban Brazilian Rosewood on the back and sides, and a solid Spruce top which is edged in Abalone (even around the sound hole). Full TAMA name in Abalone on the Rosewood headstock and Ebony neck with Even mora Abalone.

Sound : 10
This guitar sounds great no matter the style of music that I am playing, Country, Folk, Blues, Classics from the 40's, 50's, 60's, or Red Hot Chili Peppers. Great full lows and rich brite crispness.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This 3558S was made to last forever. The machine heads are fantastic at holding intonation. The finish is smooth and even. Action is perfect for all types of styles. The only changes that I made to it was to add a forward strap holder knob and add a Barcus-Berry pickup to the bridge.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Reliable???......This guitar will out live me. It is 31 years old and looks as good today as it did when I bought it.

Customer Support : 10
Never needed to repair it. I just recently used Ibanez Customer Service for background information on it and they were very helpful.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 40+ years and own a Yamaha FG-350 (which is a great guitar also), and a Gibson ES-135 (for my electric moments) but my Tama is my preferred guitar.
