Made in 2004 in Korea.

Cutaway, jumbo style
Solid sitka spruce top with the antique violin sunburst. Looks quite good !!
Supposed to have mahogoney back and sides
It has the Shadow P7 on it.

Sounds quite good for strumming and picking. I did not even plan on buying this guitar for myself. I had actually gone to the store to get a guitar for my daughter but when we got there she was not interested in guitars anymore. So I immediately got the spending disease and bought a TW45 than sounded good in the store but when I got home I realized it did not project much. Then I discovered the TW55 on the net so I went back to the store (150 KM away)and exchanged for a TW55 wich I find cooler sounding and looking !
I find the sound very well balanced form low to high.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action was high but the store clerck was telling me that it was ok all the time. Actually the action was getting higher as the strings were getting higher and it is supposed to be the contrary.
The guitar came from the factory with a mistake, it had the shadow P4 instead of the P7. I realized this when I got home ! Back to the store.. an other 150 km drive and then back. This time the store clerck agreed to give me a free setup wich they did. This time the action is ok (4/32 on low and 2/32 on high) and it feels ok.
I am pretty sure they did not restring with the elixir strings wich I thought sounded cool..(next time). I am not sure but I think there is still a problem, the volume level does not have anymore effect past the halfway point on the slider, and the treble and brightness sliders do not have any audible effect for me ? Anybody have experience with shadow P7's ???
Maybe did they damage or misplace the piezo when they filed down the bridge for the action adjustment ?

This guitar still looks pretty well made for the price.
I do not trust the strap button wich is made of plastic but does not matter for now cause I did not buy a strap yet :-)
I will not be hauling that guitar around, it will stay in the house away from partying beer drinkers so it should last my lifetime.

The store were very cooperative, they offered to send me the replacement preamp by courrier but I opted to have it done by them instead.
PS. On the back from the store my daughter told me it would be a better idea to buy a guitar in my city next time :-) kids !

I have been owning and holding guitars in my hands for 12 years but I do not consider myself a player :-)
VOX AC30 TBX 1993, VOX 120 VTX, STRAT sunburst 1993, Les Paul custom 1997. I call this art pieces that you can play with.
I would buy it again if lost. I like the sound and the size of this guitar.
But I am still not sure about the damned Shadow P7 is mine ok ??
