I have a 2003 model, and installed in it is a Fishman Classic IV pickup and preamp. They guy I bought it from said it was "factory installed", and it looks that way too.

I'm not exactly sure about all of the Taylor 110's, but this one has a very mellow sound. The middle and bass is much more present than the treble. This is when I'm fingerpicking, but when I'm just strumming with a pick, it's got that signature Taylor sound. It's like playing a guitar in a bathroom, but without having to be in the bathroom.
I can't seem to find a guitar like mine with a Fishman IV, but this guitar sings like Tina Turner.

Well, I purchased this guitar from eBay, and the guy had the guitar professionally set up before he shipped it, and it was just about as good as it could be action-wise. The action is medium, and it's like playing on a stick of butter.

I have not yet had a chance to play this guitar at one of my gigs, but I've been playing every day for 5 years now, and I would most definitely use this guitar as my main axe for live gigs. I can just about bet my life savings on the reliability of this guitar. I've never seen a Taylor that hasn't been built to last forever. Don't be fooled by the low number of 110. This guitar isn't a crap model. I've played an 814ce and then this guitar, and I like the 110 better.

I didn't buy this directly from the manufacturer, so I wouldn't know, but I'd guess that the people at Taylor guitars know what they are doing.

I have been playing electric guitar since 2004, and I've just been getting into percussive fingerstyle since early 2008. I could say something stupid like "This guitar is for a beginner, or experts", but I won't do that. This guitar is strictly for guitar players who know what they are doing. I cannot stand seeing guitars like this one in the hands of a complete beginner. If you're going to buy this guitar, make sure you treat her right.
I bought this guitar (for a fantastic price) for $445. I got SUCH a fantastic deal on this guitar. If anything, go to your local GuitarCenter and try one of these out. If you have any questions, send me an e-mail and I'll be glad to answer any of them. I'll even send you a link to a video of me playing this guitar!

Dreadnaught. Solid Sitka-spruce top. Laminated back and sides. Mahogany neck-ebony fingerboard and bridge. Basic pick-up (no controls). Satin finish. Came with gig bag, truss adjustment tool.

I play rock, blues and a little fingerstyle. This guitar has a pretty bright sound. The notes sound very expressive and articulate and even more so with a pick. It sounds very rich and defined when you strum it and single note lines simply "sizzle" when you pluck (or pick) them. I like how clear and vibrant this guitar sounds when you play with it. So far no dislikes.
For some reason, satin finished guitars feel and sound better in my opinion.

The guitar was set up extremely well. Just perfect and flawless. It's also got a light satin finish that just looks and feels natural. Was never a fan of laminated (glossy) finishes which makes the guitar seem like a toy.

This guitar is one of Taylor's cheaper guitars but it seems "delicately-constructed." Which means I want to "baby" it. No other reason other than it looks like a fine instrument that should be taken care of. But I'm sure it'll hold up as well as any other guitar. Strap buttons are steel-so no problems there.

Been playing on and off for a little over 10 years. Own an ibanez acoustic (which for the price is also a darn good guitar) and a Gibson SG/Nighthawk specials, Epi elite LP Custom, Strat American Standard.
If this were lost or stolen, I'd definitely get another one.
I love that although it pretty much looks basic (no fancy inlays or binding) its still a beautiful guitar-the light finish contrasts well with the ebony bridge and neck. The design of the bridge and headstock is also beautiful and distinct. The sound is awe inspiring. By the look of it, you'd think that the sound would also be subdued but the notes really seem to jump out when you play them. This is a very expressive and dynamic sounding guitar. The "unfinished" look of the wood also gives you an idea what an acoustic should feel like. The neck feels raw and decidedly woody. Simply put, this guitar makes you want to play and get better.

Made in Aug 2003. Solid Top. Comes with Fisnam Classic 4 pick up system. I believe this was only available in 2003 as Taylor went to the ES Blue system in 2004 (not sure why the swtich? ES Blue appears inferior?). Standard Dred. Spec avaliable on Taylor website. Camr with a real nice gig bag that I flipped on ebay and got a hardshell.

Beautiful rich sound. Searched for an under $100O (Cdn) for a while. Could not believe this was available for $849.99 at L&M in Canada. Blew me away and I bought it on the spot. Pickup system is A1

The finish quality was perfect. The soundboard has a couple of darke spots in the natural wood. Not sure if Taylor "directs" soundboard with visual "imperfections?" to the 110 series or not. But it's natural wood!

A1. I've enjoyed the quarterly publications since my registration has made me a part of the "taylor Family"..it's so good to be loved. Next car, I'm gonna get a Saturn.

This guitar is incredible (and I've been playing it for more than a year now). unmatched price-quality. A year and a haldf later, I am still thrilled. If anyone knows why the pickup system was changed in 2004, I'd love to hear from you.
