This guitar is simple, it has what you need to make great sounding music. The tuners are my only real qualm here, they are of slighly inconsistent feel.

I like the electronics on this, it sounds fabulous unamped, and even better amped!

Sound : 10
I believe this guitar could suit a variety of musical styles. But I think it is very good for people who finger pick and require lots of definition. The guitars punchy bright sounds is suitable for this, and it is also very, very musical, the sound is very inspiring from a creative standpoint.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The action is a touch high so finger strain could be an issue. I have elixir EXP lights on it and I still find the action a touch high.

The fit and finish are excellent although simple. To me it is a very pretty instrument, the thin satin lacquer looks fabulous and very natural. This is not a garish instrument in the least.

Reliability/Durability : 7
This guitar seems well made and will last many years if one took very good care of it. The back is unbraced and in general its feels a bit light and fragile in my hands though. I pick it up and feel the need to be careful with it. My Takamine on the other hand is like a brick with strings on it, and sounds about the same too.

This is a great sounding guitar whose value lies in its simple and beautiful woods, as well as its fantastic sound. If you like guitars that sound good, this is the one for you.

The guitar is beautiful in it's simplicity. It's very light and feels awesome, the pick-up is excellent, it is just a gorgeous guitar. If only they had shoves some official taylor tuning pegs on there!

Sound : 10
The guitar sounds just unbelievable! I picked it up today, and to be honest i was shown a guild, that to me sounded a lot better. Madness! I said, and got the taylor anyway!

I took it home tuned it up, played a few chords and though EEEWWWW! Taylor now install elixir strings on all their guitars and i think they sound god awful! So i tossed them in the bin and shoved on some EJ11! and Tada!!!

This guitar sounds incredible, you can feel her resonating when your playing, every chord pulsing through her, i really really REALLY love this guitars sound!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The action when i got home was pretty high, and i wondered why my $300 epiphone was easier to play than this $850 Taylor.

But alas! it was those damned elixir strings again! after i had stuck on my good old Ej11's, it was magic, nice low action and zipidy zero fret buzz! Spot on!

Reliability/Durability : 9
As i said, the guitar is really light and it is 100% wood, i only use it for playing in my room at the moment, but i do believe it will last many many years. It is a quality built piece of kit and has a life time warranty.

Satin finish. Spruce top, sapele back & sides. Expression blue pick up.

Sound : 10

For the money, this guitar is amazing. The treble and mid tones are sweet and ring out very well. Good projection of sound too. You can feel the back of the guitar vibrating slightly which gives a good indication of how responsive it is. The bass is slightly lightweight compared to guitars with higher spec.s but it's not "muddy" and is a natural result of the sapele wood which will produce a lighter tone across the range. I actually tried 4 210e guitars in the shop to find the one with the best tonal balance and ended up with the display model!

Sound from the pick up is good but I compared it with one of the new Tri -Ax pickups and that was better. I'll probably buy one and run both parallel to each other. Again, for the price, one cannot complain.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Finish is very good. No blemishes and no problems with frets. The sapele wood is actually quite pretty.
The action is a little higher than I would like and your finger tips will feel it after prolonged playing.Having said that, lowering the action might reduce the tone and will cut volume slightly so I'm prepared to suffer!

One thing that I do NOT like is the location of the battery for the pick up pre-amp. It's set right up inside by the neck and can only be accessed by completely loosening off all of the strings or removing them completely. It's a common location for battery holders but does not allow for a quick change if the need arises.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I use my guitar for live playing in church. It has performed faultlessly so far. I've only had it for a month so can't comment long-term.
My only slight worry is that there is no method of checking the condition of the 9 volt battery and if it does need changing, then this cannot be done quickly. See comments above. Some of the other Taylor guitars use 1.5 volt batteries which can easily be changed via an external catch at the base of the guitar which is a much better design. The only way round this problem is to plug in & check there's a signal well before playing live or to change the battery each time you change the strings.

Too new to comment. I don't envisage any problems.

I've been playing for 30 years and this is the best guitar that I've owned. I've played quite a few and also own a flame maple Simon & Patrick which is very good but can't compete with the Taylor. Also have a busted up old Ovation ballader.
I would be very sad if the Taylor were lost or stolen and would certainly replace it - must get it insured!!
The sound is good enough to inspire you to try new things, which is always a good sign. I compared the 210e with some of the more expensive Taylors and, frankly, there was very little difference in the sound. The 210e is a bit brighter -most noticeable in the bass -
but I like that sound! Given that this guitar is half the price of a 414 it's a bargain.

Made 2005 in California. 20 frets, solid sitka spruce top with solid sapele back and sides. Pick up is the Expression Blue system, ebony fretboard and bridge, satin finish, medium neck includes hardshell case, lifetime warranty and also had a sound hole humidifier thrown in.

Sound : 10
Suits everything I like fine, from blues and rock to jazz. Haven't gotten an acoustic amp yet, just run it through my peavey 5150 right now sounds great, rich/full sound with great balance on highs and lows. love everything about it

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Perfect, though the satin finish is a little strange to me right now, I'm getting used to it.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Everything is built like a rock on this thing, finish seems good to last, and if it doesn't I'll send it to taylor to fix. I'll let you know in ten years if its durable.

Customer Support : 10
Great customer support, they got everything settled out for me (one small flaw in the bridge) in under two weeks. Courteous and quick.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 5 years now, I own 3 other guitars, two saxophones and a keyboard or two. I would cry beyond belief if this got stolen. I saved up 8 months to get it. I love the company and their direction they're going and I love the looks and sound of the guitar. I tried martin, garrison, guild, ibanez, takamine, larrivee (second choice, great guitars) and the everything but the kitchen sink. This one had it all.
