The Taylor 414-MACE is a limited edition from 2000. It is part of the Legends of the Fall limited series that Taylor produced. It is made of Big Leaf flamed maple on the back and sides and has a spruce top. The neck is made of mahogany with an ebony fretboard. It includes a fishman pickup that sounds incredible. This guitar has one of the best sounds I've ever heard and is my favorite guitar I have ever owned. It is jewel in the taylor lineup and very hard to find.

I play mostly acoustical music but this guitar can blend into any form of music. I've played rock with it, jazz, blues and praise and worship. It is a very versatile guitar and sounds incredible with whatever style you choose to play it in. It has a very big sound and makes its presence known. Very good mid and upper range with a good mix of the low range but not too much.

Once again, this is a taylor so you are getting a guitar that will last a lifetime and be able to passed on to future generations.

Taylor's customer support is top notch. I've contacted them a few times and everytime I call they treat me like a top customer and will answer absolutely any question or concern I have. Their customer service matches up with the quality of their guitars.

This guitar is for sure a ten on any scale. It has the playablity, sound and durablity you would expect from one of the top guitar makers in the world. I would not trade this guitar for anything and has become my baby. This guitar will not let you down and for the five years I've owned mine, it hasn't. I love it to death and encourage anyone to look at Taylor Guitars when purchasing their next guitar.

I haven't seen this model posted they are a limited run I was looking at a 614CE when I notice this guitar behind the counter it had a really cool insignia logo on the back I have never seen one on any of the other Taylor's before his guitar was kind of special basically a standard 414CE with a flamed maple back and sides plus the limited run logo on the back this guitar sing's I was sold after 30 seconds of playing.

spruce top, big leaf flamed maple back and sides,mahogany neck,Ebony fretboard an incredible combination combined with the Fishman Prefix electronics the only way to describe this sound is (BIG,FAT & JUICY) what style music do I play mostly top 40 modern rock but with the new acoustic project I'm involved in I play a little of everything this guitar covers every sound I need period

I have been playing 15 years semi-professional last eight years I use PRS electric guitars and Ovation & Taylor acoustics this guitar is a real players guitar one of my favorites I consider the Taylor limited run 414MACE to be an investment and someday my grandchildren will be enjoying this incredible guitar
