While this guitar appears to be very simple and no frills, it is technically amazing. The only guitar I've owned where I can change tunings every 10 minutes and it is right there with me.
Dynamic range is unreal.

For fingerstyle this is the best guitar I've ever played hands down. It quite simply smokes anything I've played in the 6-10K range. Ted is GOD, plain and simple.
Action, Fit, & Finish

This axe is simple and perfect. No inlay, no fancy features. It is a tool to make great music.
Fit and finish is 100%.
Reliability/Durability

So far so good. I am using an ebony pick sometimes so my only concern is going through the clear thin pickguard.

Ted seems to be somewhat of a recluse, which is fine. I may have to drive to Vernon one day to thank him personally for making the best acoustic guitar ever, we'll see......

Ted's guitar is a very refreshing addition to my 12 plus collection. This is a no nonsense guitar that sounds and plays about as close to perfect as I could imagine. Can you tell how much I love this guitar?
My advise is, when you see a Thompson do yourself a favor and buy it.
