Teddy Zane ZANE7 Red Candy

First let me comment on the other dudes statement, yeah man indeed I've seen teddy zanes wife and she's "Smokin" you are so right! I saw some pics on photobucket of her, she's bangin! Hard to notice the guitars.
Now the guitar! Solid ash s series body design with a blue and red tiger custom paint finish. Teddy zane is a cool dude, he added full shred pickups to the guitar at no extra fee, however I did pay 850 dallors for the guitar. There's the FR special, great neck that's pretty flat, tuners were top notch gotoh, and there were strap locks on the guitar(yeah!).

I'm using the line6 spider jam. It has a built in tracking system and tons of effects! Aight!! So this guitar blasts metal and face melting rock, the big surprise was the clean soft tones of the neck pup sh10. So def lots of variety. I'll Blow your face off with leeds too!

I had to raise the action just a bit to clean up some fret buzz when I got it. No prob however I also added 10 gauge strings. I believe the axe was delivered with 9-42. No scratches and good paint work

Um? Gig? Yeah Rocklahoma baby! I'm days away from being signed in my mind! I'm always out pushing the limits tryin to make a name. I use many guitars my others are fernadez sustainer, 80's strat by Fender, ibanez 550 japan.

I ordered this guitar from ted zane and this is my first custom ever. I opted for dimarzio's accross the board and ted tried to talk me into Duncans, at least for the bridge any how. I did go with the seymour duncan sh-12 demon for the bridge and its perfect. I see this pickup used in many of his guitars so I guess he's either a big george lynch fan or the pickup just kicks ***. I now know the pickup kicks *** along with the rest of the guitar.
Built in the usa. Its a red high shine tiger. Satch style body made of ash with a maple neck and rose fret. Lic floyd rose special. Super thin neck.

No noise from the pickups.man can it jazz. The neck pickup is a paf joe and it packs some great smooth tone. Ted choice for the mid I think is what he called a jb? Not to sure. Like it a lot though.

Frets were well laid, I don't know anything about wood other than it comes from trees so I guess the wood is of good quality. I like that its very smooth. There was a minor flaw in the clear but I don't care, its not a diamond ring so big deal.

Its reliable. You know when you pick something up and you can just tell if its quality or not? You can tell as soon as you feel the guitar that its well made. Ted zane said not to even plug the guitar up when I first get it, to just listen to the wood unplugged so I can hear its true tone. Pretty cool idea. I've always just gone right for the amp in guitar centers but now I know how to test and hear a well made guitar.

Zane is a pretty cool dude. I didn't bother him to much durring the build process but I was excited and emailed a bit often, he hit me back every time. He's also wanting me to do some youtube stuff featuring my new guitar so stay tuned for that folks!

Yeah its worth what I paid. I rate zane himself a 10 cause I really like the guy, and I give the guitar he built me a 9 because it had a minor flaw in the paint. Overall experience with the entire build start to finsh was very pleasant and the guitar took 30 days from placing the order to it arriving at my doorstep.

Amazing the diference between Teddy Zane and Ed Roman. Here goes , Ok Teddy Zane guitars are pretty unique. I went to his shop in Florida and played some of his wil design neons and fell in love with this red candy tiger. It just plays great for a $700 guitar. The neck is smooth , thin and feels great in your hands. The finish had some minor flaws in the laquer but i dont really care. Again I only paid 700 for the guitar and i love it. Teddy Zane is also a very friendly sincere person and really tries hard to take care of you while in his shop.
Ed ****ing Roman ***** me of $4,000 for one of **** Silvers , was a total jerk when I called his Vegas shop, Ed blew me off like my money didnt make a bit a difference in his shop. He sold me a cracked finish, frets that were unsanded , lose vol knob , when i unwrapped the guitar from the UPS box a screw fell to the floor later to find that it was a strap button screw.
My mistake was thinking $4000 would get me the perfect guitar I was wrong , A $700 purchase with Teddy Zane made my stomache settle. I will buy from Teddy Zane again for sure. He doesnt have a huge place like roman or the big staff.. if your looking for PRS style guitars thats not Teddy's best suite, hes more of the shredder Ibanez, Jackson lover looking for an edge. Ed Roman claims to be the best but is by far nothing more than a used car salesman.

The Zane guitar is a metal guitar. tiger design and Dime Bag pickups both bridge and neck. Its not very versatile it is very directly a metal shred guitar.

The action was very low and needed nothing from me.

Teddy Zane makes a good guitar. Im not puting no spin on anything just after the fact of losing 4000 with Roman I feel i should pat the small guy / company on the back. Ed ***** me Ted sold me what i wanted. Please understand these guys are not affiliated at all , i am only describing my past experience to compare my dealings with both builders. Teddy Zane is the way to go for fast shred guitars.

Ed Roman Forget it , dont even waist your breath, your time your energy, you will get nothing back from him once he screws you over.
Teddy Zane is helpful , answers questions without being pushy , sells you what you want not what he needs to get rid of like Roman.

Once again if you want to pay under 1000 for a guitar and have it custom go with Zane

First let me just say it took about 2 weeks to g??t my zane guitar after ordering because Ibanez loser guitars were giving this guy a hard time. So let's talk about this junk ibanez s series I have first. Ibanez is bustin on teddy zane because his guitars are better. They hate it that the small guy makes a better guitar than they do. And for the record my ibanez s series didn't even get 100 bucks on ebay that's what a total piece of **** ibanez guitars are. The Zane guitar has an original floyd rose and the action on the guitar was so low and fast. There were minor finish flaws in the clear but I don't care. The zane neck feels great. The guitar has all sh 10 pups neck bridge and the paint is a red and silver tiger. Over all it is worth more than I paid where as ibanez should pay me for the **** guitar they sold me 10 years ago, I would probobly be a better guitarist if I would have purchased the Zane guitar instead of the ibenhad iben**** ibenez. I support Teddy Zane and if any one else has one of his guitars do a review and help him crush ibanez.

The sound is full and a bit on the bright side, like a vinnie moore tone maybe.

It did have very low action. It was done perfect for shredding bending tapping etc

Its not had one prob since I got it.

I'm trying to help him out with his guitars, not because he's my bud or I'm being paid but because his guitars are worth checking out and buying. It upsets me that I had to wait 2 wks to get my guitar because ibanez is trying to shut him down when his guitars are simply better crafted, look and play better than any ibanez. They don't cost as much either.

I have a 2009 teddy zane red tiger candy.its my first real guitar with a floyd rose trem. I love it. It took me a while to get used to it when braking one string you must retune the guitar. The neck is very thin, rosewood fret, black hardwr, seymour duncan sh-12 both neck and bridge and tuners are gotoh. One of coolest looking guitars I've seen and played for under a grand.

Well I have to say this, I've always had a fixed bridge. I'm still learning this floyd rose thing and its tricky. The guitar is great, plays great and sounds like fire metal should sound. I will master the floyd rose soon.

I'm going to have to say the neck is what sold me. Well and the tiger paint. This neck is like a sheet of paper thin. Action was very very low.

I don't gig. I'm a total loser in that department. I have 2 kids and only jam for me these days. This guitar would be better off on stage and not under attack by my kids

I didn't go through evil bay I contacted teddy and ordered the guitar may way. He's a pretty cool dude. Have you seen his chick she is so hot!

I have have the 150 model zane7 by teddy zane customs. Its a usa built tiger striped guitar. The paint is called scarified because it is disstressed, the look of the guitar is impressive and the sound is to match. It has 2 seymour duncan pups both sh 12 and they are very powerful. Floyd rose trem that sits perfectly level and the intonation is perfect. This guitar is very impresive.

Its very bright due to the screamon demons by george lynch but that's what I like.

There was a small chip on the tail of the guitar and some bucle scrapes on the back but I assume its from the guitar center I purchased it from. The ha??dware is black.

I gig with the guitar in 2 different bands, we travel all year playing up to 200 shows per year. This is my main guitar and soon I will back it up with another. I have had no probs, I love this baby

I spoke with teddy zane about doing some custom work for another guitar and plans are in the making. He is the leader in the industry right now and I only work and trust him. My last experiance with a so called custom builder was a nightmare. Teddy makes bad *** guitars.

I am planning my next purchase and I can only tell you what I know from buying just one of his guitars. They are solid guitars and play very fast. If that's what your in the market for than go for it.

I just got the guitar, red tiger design with gold hardware. The tiger has a transparent candy red finish. Some parts on the guitar are korean made, but the guitar is assembled here in america and it makes a big difference. Im not a big fan of the pickups, the bridge humbucker was loud with good tone but the 2 single coils were low tone. The tuners are good quality but its the locks that keep it in tune. I love the guitar, overall its great for the money. I play mostly metal, rock style music

It was set up with low action and the intonation was good

I have not had the chance to use it live but I will soon
