A 1965 solid-body Japanese beauty! 3 pickups with 3 rocker switches for easy and fast switching. I replaced the original plastic tuners because they were creaky and one was especially hard to turn. Put an adjustable bridge on it, as well.
Not a lot of features, but who needs them?

I could not ASK for a better sound. The beyond-powerful pickups put out a nice crunchy Rickenbackeresque ringing distortion or a nice, tight trebly jangle, depending on which pickups are on.

Sadly, the neck is old and shows it. The action is pretty high, the frets worn down (I asked Sam Ash to replace them, but it came back with the old frets intact). One of my greatest hopes is to get all of this fixed and keeping this as my main guitar.
Yes, the electronics were noisy at one time, but it was nothing a can of contact cleaner couldn't fix.

If you can find a more durable guitar, buy it. This guitar was made back when things were built to last. Apart from the creaky neck and a few grain cracks in the headstock (did I mention this is an old guitar?), the ET-310 is truly a beater. How do I know? Let's just say, I've played many early Who songs on it...a LOT.

I have been playing this guitar for over 20 years and appreciate it more and more after playing others. I've tried to find other Teiscos, but haven't had much luck. I bought this one after playing one a friend of mine owned. Apart from the old neck issues, this would be a perfect guitar for me. The sound and look are right on the money for playing 60s Mod guitar pop, 70s punk rock, 80s janglepop, 90s indie...

this guitar is pretty straight-up except for the two rocker switches located right where i tend to strum (turning them off). i re-wired it to bypass those and have one tone and one volume knob.

to be this old (original puckups) this guitar sounds fat as hell, but can also give quite a nice twangy sound.

at one time, i had smashed the neck into two pieces. add some glue and screws and the thing is as good as new. for a cheap guitar, this thing is rock solid.

considering i paid $2.98 plus tax for this thing, it is awesome. it is my third-favorite guitar behind a fender jaguar, a roland, a peavey, and an SG.
