mid-late 70's made in japan. hi-quality tuners. styled after a martin D-28. spruce top, and brazilian rosewood for back and sides. abalone binding around the body and headstock. fret markings are abalone also with a different shape for each position.

heres where this gem really shines. with the 1st strum in a pawnshop, i had to have it. though it had old strings, the projection and intonation were spot-on. full sounding in all respects and LOUD and powerful. after new strings (martin mediums), it held a harmonic tone for a full 20 seconds no matter where i hit the harmonic on the neck. this blows away most high quality guitars on this test. everyone who has played/heard this baby sing is STUNNED.

though showing its wear, it has aged gracefully. typical nicks and scratches.took a mirror to the sound hole and found it quite well made with martin style x-bracing, a quality guitar all the way around.

for 30 plus years, it shows no sign of wearing out, very solid build with top notch workmanship and materials. iwould use it with out a back-up. the only thing that was missing was a strap button. i'll replace it with an after market one. other than that....good to go

through researc, i found uot that terada is still making guitars but not under the terada name. i do believe the make gretsch high-end reissues.

an easy 10 in all areas. if lost or stolen, i probably would never find another. just one of those lucky pawnshop prizes. if you ever see a terada, strum a few chords and i'll bet my last dollar, you'll most definetly buy it. AWESOME !

Action is very low so it's very easy to play ; just changed the strings (I just bought it in a vintage guitar shop) and I still have to wait for the sound to stabilize, but it's quite loud.
