This Thomsley guitar I purchased about a year ago off ebay from a guitar maker that use to work at Larrivee. His name is Heath Thomsley Hales. He also worked in there custom shop doing inlay work. The guitar is made in Vancouver Canada. The guitar I have is an OM model that is made of Mahogany with a nice Bear claw spruce top.The guitar style reminds me of a Larrivee but different. The head stock is inlayed with sea turtles that consist of several types of AAA woods. A nice touch, Along with flamed maple binding front and back and up and down the neck. The workman ship is excellent all around. The inside bracing is very clean. The finger is a plain Ebony board along with an ebony bridge. Another nice touch he used a graph tech type material for the saddle and nut. My guitar also has ebony type tuning keys, I like this because they have consistent clean look as well as feel.

Sound : 10
My style of music consist of quit a variety, Nice finger style music to blues and heavy creative strumming. This guitar sounds excellent in anything I want it to do. I own several Martin guitars from vintage to modern and even a few Breedlove guitars and Taylor guitars, This guitar will compete with the best of them for much less money. I paid a $1000.00 for mine and It is my opinion the guitar is worth twice what I paid for it. Sound wise the guitar is super loud with a very open sound that you would only expect from a vintage instrument. The sound is very well balanced with a clean bright tone that sustains forever. The harder you play it, The louder it gets without sounding broke up and muddy. Gently played, The guitar is super sweet, The sound control is amazing. The guitar tunes up to superb perfection. This is one of the first acoustic guitars that Iv owned that the intonation is perfect. I can't say enough about how good this guitar sounds.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
When I received the guitar, It was packed very well and arrived in perfect shape. The guitar also came with a nice hard-shell case and neck adjustment wrench. While looking over the guitar, I could not find any flaws, The guitar was very clean. The finish is very nicely done using some type of varnish, I like this idea, It reminds me of old traditions of guitar building that I thought were lost. The guitar was set up beautifully, The playing action is low with no string buzz. A joy to play.

Reliability/Durability : 10
As far as reliability, I don't believe Iv had the guitar long enough to really know. Being that these guitars are fairly new to the market. But, I play this guitar almost everyday and so far, It's holding up quit well. I expect this guitar to be around until I die. It then will be available at my estate sale for practically nothing.I use this guitar mostly for pleasure and studio work.

Customer Support : 10
When I purchased the guitar, I had a chance to talk to Heath, He's a very honest and heart spoken man, And a pleasure to talk to. The guitar comes with a life time warranty to the original purchaser, The warranty covers all workman ship, How can you beat that. So far I haven't had to have any work done.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing guitar for 25 years, I own several very high end guitars and highly recommend this guitar to anyone. You better get them while you can, Because there not going to be this cost efficient for long. If this guitar was lost or stolen, I would definitely buy another one. The things I love about this guitar are the feel sound and workmanship. I can't think of anything I hate about it. My favorite feature is I got a fantastic guitar for little money. This guitar has been compared with several of my best guitars which I mentioned above. It's playability and sound are better then most of them costing thousands more. Get one while you can. He's been selling them on Ebay and now has a web page as well.
