Product: Tokai 62 Strat Copy
Price Paid: US $325

Features : 9
This hot pink (don't ask me why, I was in high school at the time and thought I was Prince) rosewood strat copy has single coiled pick ups and everything else that a strat does. At the the tip of the neck, it's a bit more pointed that a the round strat. It came with the classic tweed case for $325

Sound : 10
I use to have a Les Paul copy that was a piece of crap. I also had a Fender Jazz Master, which I absolutley loved. This sound was a contrast to the bassier Jazzmaster. The sound is bright and because I like heavier strings on the bass strings and use muddy effects, I can get the low tones beautifully. I played with these rich kids that were able to afford "real strats." There guitars sucked. They loved my ax. I play every thing from Hendrix to funky R&B. Why do you think strats have been the guitar of choice for so many years. Well these Japanese guys capture the essence hear.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The only problem that I have ever had was the pick up came loose. My friend, a Jimi Hendrix impersonator fixed it in two seconds. I gave him 10 buck and an old acoustic amp head just because I did not want it anymore. The Pink guitar is always a conversation piece. I tell women that its my favorite colorNo buzzes on frets. No warped wood. It could probably go in for a tune up (intonation). My guitar friend did that for me too about 5 years ago. As I am no longer playing actively, it would probably be good for another. But otherwise the ax is great. It should be noted that my friend thinks the action is too low. When I put down my Jazz master, the Tokia is like so easy to play.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Got in the winter of 85. Did not realize how good an investment it would have been. I begged my grandmother for the money.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Who the hell knows.

Overall Rating : 10
I heard that Tokai was sued by Fender not because they made the copy but because they made it so good. People have offered to buy it from me. I think that I have may have something vintage. I was a broke black wanting a strat. The salesman said I have something for you. I've been happy ever since.
