This is an almost exact replica of a '62 Fender strat in Shell pink. It seems to have all the tone and sound of the real deal. The pickups are stock. The whole guitar is very well made with a lot of attention to detail. The knobs are aged looking on purpose. the pickguard is white, black, white plastic. It came with a tweed case. It has a rosewood fingerboard.

Sound : 10
It sounds like a vintage strat. I play it through a Crate 2X12 and/or a Crate 2X6 and it can be used for surf, heavy metal, blues, classic rock. It is very versatile. The tone is very good and through pedals it just gets better. It is not mushy and has good sustain.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This guitar is very well made. Everything fits tight and works well. the knobs don't make any noise, the pickups will make some noise at high levels, but that's a single coil! The action is like butter. It can be played and played and played and doesn't take a toll on fingers or hands.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Top notch construction, light weight, solid and I have and will continue to play it live. It always gets a comment because it is pink, especially when we play Pink Floyd! The finish has no defects. I installed strap locks. It is very dependable.

I have been playing 35 years. I own 8 guitars, two acoustic and the rest electric. It is the Strat sound choice and is very flexible for all types of music. There is nothing I hate about the axe. I would look for another one is stolen as they represent better value and construction than Fenders of the same time period-this thing was made in the early 80's-lawsuit type. If you closed your eyes, you can't tell whether you are playing an expensive strat or this Tokai. The only negative is the vintage tremelo can make the guitar go out of tune due to deep dives. I don't play that type of music, so it works for me.
