Made in Japan. All seem to be Fender/Gibson copies. All kinds of configurations, I like their maple neck/fretboard combos the best but all their necks are outstanding. Bodies of high-grade tonewoods mahog/alder/ash Slightly thin necks but not Ibanez-thin

Sound : 9
Excellent sounds, the strats are better than the 70's fenders The explorer type sounds graet tool

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Excellent fit and finish

Reliability/Durability : 7
All is great and reliable except for crappy tuners....

Customer Support : No Opinion
never needed

Overall Rating : 9
Been playing forever, have owned all kinds of gear, guitars. The tokai is a great sleeper axe if you get a high-end model. Not many people know about them (stevie ray used to "play" one) and they never took off in the US for marketing? reasons....but to me, they blow away most asian imports.
