I have a Traynor ycv 40 and the guitar is plugged directly into the amplifier. Noisy when close to the amp. Pick ups are good. Rock and roll. Not very hot. Nice clean sound, but nothing special... Beautiful trough the drive channel. Works fine with hi gain too. The neck is just about the best thing I have ever played. Bridge pick up is a bit too bright so here I have to work on the tone knobs. Neck pick up has a great tone.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Set up as always. Stupid. Had to change strings, adjust the action and put springs in the bridge to make it shut up with the buzzing. Tried to turn it but that did`nt help much. Also the tailpiece couldn`t be mounted all the way down to the body. Luckily I had a wraparound bridge from a Gibson Sg jr and that worked fine as a tailpeice. Now I have great sustain and the bridge is quiet. Thank you. Fret buzz on the 7th fret. Not much, but enough to make you pissed off. Have to fix it soon. One of the tuners is loose. Don`t know what to do with that cause the screw just turns. Strap button screw also just turned but that could be replaced by a bigger screw. When I look down in front of the neck pick up there is a gap in the neck joint about 1,5 mm wide. Don`t know if this will cause problems in the future.

We have had a rough start. I have been very pissed of at times. Very close to smashing it up, but glad I didn`t. If another thing breaks or go wrong I`m going to return it to the store. Then I want my money back. Cause I had heard all these positive things aboute Tokai and then it turns out that they are no better than the Americans. Very...Very...Very disapointing. Can not play without a back up. Don`t trust it.

Been playing for two years. It seems to be very hard for guitar makers to produce a guitar that has no flaws at a fair price. Impossible I guess. It also seems to be very difficult for guitar salespersons to identify guitars with flaws. So in this reality where the people that produces guitars and the people that sell guitars don`t know what the hell they are doing one can only do one thing. Learn how to fix your own guitar. If it can`t be fixed, then move on with a new one. The case is better than the catch.
