First off the Drop Top rings like a bell when it is unplugged. Probably the hollow sound chambers that helps that. I was looking a guitar with that strat sound when I got this instead. Pickups are quiet and works well for the jazz style I like to play. I use a Blues Jr, or direct to board through Digitech GSP2101 or POD. Has it own range of sounds possible due to the useful Switcheroo switching system that allows pickups to be assigned series/parallel or series/split. Love the Buzzy Feiten tuning on the neck, now I'm spoiled and any guitar not setup with it just doesn't seem right.

Setup from the factory suited me prefectly, string height 1/16 ' at 22 fret with .010-.046 strings. I have maintained neck and pickup adjustments at factory settings and couldn't be happier. Koa wood top is well bookmatched and stained cherry wood binding looks tastefully understated. No flaws, great finish and workmanship. Only complaints is that all hardware (bridge, volume/tone, tuning pegs) is gold except for the four silver switches for pickups. Seems odd all the attention to detail and then miss this.

Very durable, solid guitar. I've had it for ten years and had no problems. Would be great travelling guitar.

Never had any warranty issues but did contact them once about getting some post delivery factory customization. They were very helpful, responded promptly and would have been very expensive.

Been playing 35 years. 10 years playing in bars, hotels/resorts, local festivals and grand opennings. I've been very happy with this guitar. It fits me very well. I definitely like the pickup switching options, contoured heel but I really just like its' sound the best. I would be very disappointed it got ripped off or destroyed but I would not necessairly have to replace it with another Drop Top. I might go for a Cobra S from Tom Anderson. I like the Cobras' 24 3/4" neck.

It hold it's own with any type of music except metal.
Very clean with my Matchless D/c 30 and solid chunk from solodano!
With effects it can go in any direction.
All in all i realy like the tone of this guitar.
The augmented nut make it play in tune !

I have played my share of guitars. This Tom Anderson is one of the best strat type guitars out there for main stream toneality.I would try to replace it or look for another.
