Standard features as any Les Paul Copy would have..This guitar is an OLDER Tradition LP Copy, Made In America. Beautiful to look at, feels like silk to the hands when touching it. It has got to be the finest guitar I've ever touched in over 45 years of playing. To put it simply, there is no price high enough for me to sell this to anyone. I would put this guitar up against any electric guitar made PERIOD. I've played them all.

Sound : No Opinion
Perfect for any type of music. The guitar is plays everything from jazz to hard rock with ease. QUIET AS A MOUSE when hooked up to any amp that I've tried, and I have over 20 amps, tubes and solid state. It is Excellent to use for recording purposes as well.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
PERFECT..This guitar was set up by by Patterson and Manuel and is probably the finest set up of any instrument I have ever touched.

This is a Standard Les Paul Copy. This is one of the earliest models made by Tradition, I believe it's a 1997 Model. Made in a barn in the USA. This guitar is simply a work of art. Beautiful Solid Wood Mahogany body, appears to be maple neck (painted) and rosewood fretboard. Standard Les Paul Headstock, 22 frets, with standard Les Paul controls (2 tone and 2 volume) that WORK, I mean actually work properly. Switch for pickup choice on the top easy to reach. Only thing this guitar is missing is a drink holder and an electronic robot arm that plays the guitar for you. It plays that easy.

Sound : 10
This guitar sounds just as good as any Les Paul guitar I've ever played, maybe better. I've been playing guitar for over 45 years and have never been so pleased with an instrument. Absolutely silent pickups, they are stock 'Hand Wound' pickups that came on this model. Sound wise this guitar keeps right up with active pickups for distortion type sounds. Sounds just as good as any Gibson, Gretsch or Fender I've owned and I've owned a lot of them over the years.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The action on this guitar was set up by Patterson and Manuel and I can honestly say this is the finest playing guitar I've ever had the pleasure of touching. The finish is truly outstanding. It plays easier than my Strats, has a fuller sound then my Gibson Jazz box ES175 and is more powerful than a Locomotive, able to reach high notes in a single bound.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Pushing 12 years old and it's looks and plays better than new. If you ever see one of these guitars on EBAY or at a Music Store or on Craig's list GRAB IT...TRUST ME...You will not be disappointed. It's built to last, with the finest quality parts and excellent construction.

Customer Support : 10
Go to their website, check out the site, want to talk to the owner, dial the number and ask. EXCELLENT COMPANY.

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing for well over 45 years and it takes a really good piece of equipment for me to sit here and type up a rating.. This instrument is WORTH IT. If I find more on Ebay, I'll grab them if I can afford them at the time. They are 1/2 the cost of a Gibson Les Paul and built and sound TWICE as good. Don't just rely on my rating, check out the others. Simply an INCREDIBLE INSTRUMENT.

This is a late 90's Made in Korea Paul goldtop copy with all the standard Paul features. 3+3 headstock on a set mahogany neck, with 22 frets on a bound rosewood board. Mahogany body with a maple cap, typical 3 way switch, 2 vol, 2 tone controls which are in a slightly different position than a standard Paul. (Which is my only bitch about this guitar. More on that later.)Tun-a-matic bridge with a heavy stop tailpiece. Really a typical Paul copy

Sound : 10
The orignal pickups were a tad bit, ummm, pedestian for my taste. They worked, and did the job, just weren't anything special. I replaced the neck with an orginal '75 IBANEZ SUPER 58, and the bridge is a MIGHTY MITE MOTHERBUCKER. Now it rocks! The neck gives all the growl and sustain I could wish for, without being muddy. The bridge can burn a hole thru the speaker, and yet, isn't piercing. I'm usung this thru a Roland JC77, and a Behringer V-amp2.

Overall, the guitar nails the pure tone of a 50's Paul.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I got this used, so I have no clue as to how well it was set up from the factory. After some tweaking and light fret work, the action is unbelievable! Perfectly even up and down the neck, with no dead spots or buzzing anywhere.

As for flaws, there aren't any that I can see. BUT....

The placement of the tone controls make installing a Bigsby impossible. I don't want a hole in the guitar where the tone pot was, nor do I want to modify the Bigsby so I can put it on this guitar. So... points off for that design flaw. Otherweise flawless.

Reliability/Durability : 10
It was used, and pretty pristine at that, but I've added my share of battle scars. The goldtop has this wonderful faded look to it, and is pretty durable. I wish they had stained the back and neck to a darker mahogany, but hey, the price was right, and it plays soooooo good!

It's as solid as a real Paul at a few pounds less. (About 8 lbs)

Customer Support : 10
Pretty good when I contacted them. And they seemed pretty willing to answer my questions.

Overall Rating : 10
I would another one of these in a heartbeat! In all aspects, it blows away the Epiphone Elitist, and comes damn close to equal to a real Paul. It's got better action and feel then a Gibson, just not the same heft. A great guitar!

I've 22 other guitars, ranging from a '65 non reverse Firebird I, to a Chinese Strat copy. (Turbo by Sunlite. Plays and sounds better than an American strat!) These are great guitars!

A les paul standard clone
- Mahogany body / Neck
- Quilted top / flamed (blue)
- Medium 22 frets
- Alnico pickups (HH) that will burn a hole in your amp
- 1 volume 3 tone
- came with soft fat padded case, picks, cable etc.

Sound : 10

Mother of God...Lord Almighty!. This thing will burn a hole in your amp. It has Alnico pickups. This thing is fat / meatty, bluesy, screamer at bridge. This is the ultimate tone guitar. This devil will stack up againts any Les Paul standard, pound for pound it's the champ and not the contender.

Get your led zepplin backing tracks out and go to heaven. Metal, Rock, Fat blues, Southern Rock, Rockabilly, jazz, You have everything that those winny wizzy strats crave for but can't even come close to.

Play it clean and it's a beautiful rythmn guitar.

I've rigged this bad boy thru spider line 212 75 watts, as well as a crate 100 watt speaker and thru Digitech GNX3 guitar processor.

The only thing I wish I had was that it was the Pro version (set neck)

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
I think this is a bogus area to critize.. The setup is so objective that any muscian should know how to customize their needs to the guitar.

Anyway, the guy I bought this from used it for slide guitar so naturally the action was high.

I adjusted it and low (because I love low and close without buzz)
No flaws, a few nicks but that's expected

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar will withstand a nuclear bomb
This is a professional guitar for professionals! beginners and intermediate players will vastly improve on this guitar
Strap buttons are solid but not locking ( which one are locking stocked ?)
It's a solid guitar, You can gig without a backup but I won't and you need a super strat as well when you gig anyways.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No nothing about this guys. But if you do a google search, you will come across tradition guitars which they are out of nashville (if I remember correctly)

http://www.traditionguitars.com

The model I have they no longer have listed. They been replaced with the S2000 series or s20 series les pauls.

Overall Rating : 10
I have too much gear to list, fenders, epiphone SG's, super strats with coil tapping fat lace buckers, strats with floyd rose and super lace buckers, PRS style, and a few other les paul clones (set necks)

This my favourite that I seem to grab all the time.. When I want to learn a new song or just rip into some metal / blues, rock, southern rock, I always pickup this puppy.

STANDARD LES PAUL SETUP WITH ALNICO 5 PUPS. BIG NECK SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 50'S AND 60'S.

Sound : 10
IT SOUNDS GREAT RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX, BETTER THAN ANY PAUL I HAVE PLAYED. QUIET AS A MOUSE. NECK PICKUP IS ALMOST TOO HOT, BUT I LOWERED IT AND IT IS FINE NOW.
IT KICKS BOOTIE THROUGH A FENDER PRO JR, YES IT DOES THERE ARE WITNESSES.
IT SOUNDS KILLER THROUGH MY MARSHALL STACK.
IT IS FULL AND RICH AND IT IS THE BEST TONE I HAVE EVER HAD FOR A BLUES ROCK BAR GIG.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
I HAVE LOOKED VERY HARD FOR A DEFECT AND THERE ARE NONE.
SHAME ON GIBSON FOR SELLING 3500.00 PAULS THAT HAVE SEVERAL FLAWS AND WEIGH A TON AND NEED NEW TUNERS, PICKUPS JUST TO BE PLAYABLE.
THIS IS THE TICKET FOR PROS AND BEGINNERS THAT NEED A GOOD GUITAR THAT LOOKS LIKE A 3 GRAND INSTRUMENT. IT IS ONLY 8.5 LBS AND IT IS GOOD WOOD. THE FLAME MAPLE CHERRY SUNBURST TOP IS KILLER

Reliability/Durability : 10

Customer Support : 9
TRADITION IS EXCELLENT, THE WARRANTY IS LIFETIME.

Overall Rating : 10
BEEN PLAYING 32 YEARS. HAVE STRATS, TELE, FENDER TUBE AMPS, MARSHALLS.
I HAVE BEEN GOING TO ATLANTA, AUSTIN, NASHVILLE FOR YEARS AND PLAYING GIBSON LES PAULS. I HAD SAVED UP OVER 2 GRAND TO GET ONE.
I FINALLY GAVE UP ON GIBSON AS I HAVE NEVER FOUND ONE SINCE 1989 THAT WAS WORTH MORE THAN ABOUT 500 REGARDLESS OF THE PRICE.
THE TRADITION IS THE EQUIVALENT OF A LES PAUL STANDARD OR CUSTOM FROM THE 60'S. BUY ONE WHILE YOU CAN.
IT IS GREAT TO HAVE BIG FAT TONE AT A GIG THAT IS STILL SWEET AND NOT JUST GAINED OUT LIKE A HOT STRAT.
I HAD MORE COMPLIMENTS ON MY TONE WITH THIS GUITAR THAN ANY I HAVE EVER OWNED.

It is a Les Paul copy, what kind of features are there? It is good and heavy wood, great pups for a stock guitar, tuners kick butt and the finish is awesome. Plays better than any Epi or other cheapo and I would put it against a new Gibson anyday, but not a vintage one. Gets a 9 because nothing is perfect.

Sound : 9
Sounds full as hell. Great humbuckers for stock pups. Like I already said and will say again, beats the hell out of Epi's. This thing will sustain for weeks if you will stand still that long.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
OK, I know I said nothing is perfect but this is real close. I have played several Gibson's and this is just as good as any of the more recent models I have played, better than some of the cheaper line crap they have put out the last 4 or 5 years. The neck is smooth as a baby's butt and the action was great when I bought it. Finish is nice and thick. I have chipped it, but I have chipped the finish on every guitar I have owned from Gibson to Epi to Gretsch to Fender to cheapo's so that doesn't say a lot. The best damn playing guitar I have ever played, especially for the price. I did NOT give this rating in consideration of price, a guitar is a guitar no matter what I pay.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Great so far without a problem and I have gigged the poop out of it for almost 2 years as well as practice and traveling to jams.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't needed it. That is the best customer support there is but I won't rate it.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for about 9 years and have had around 40 electrics (not counting basses and acoustics)go through my hands. This is the first one I have ever still liked after this long. In fact, it is the only one I have held on to this long except one other. I have owned everything and would definitely buy this guitar again. In fact I think I am gonna buy another just to have it for a different color and such and hot rod out with some different pups for fun. BUY IT NOW!

don't know the year, guessing late 90's. must be korean. really cool maple top(i don't know if it's photo etched or real). it's heavy, and has the standard lp set up electronically. the body has got to be mahogany, the finish is really good, a couple of spots on the binding could be better. Holds tune really well, i usually change tuners on any guitar i buy, but i haven't on this one yet because it doesn't need it yet. i got it off of ebay with a gibson hard shell case.........for $175, the best buy i have ever had.

Sound : 9
i play music that sounds like ac/dc meets skynyrd with a little social distortion thrown in......i have a 100 watt all tube peavey classic head, with the matching 4x12, i plug straight into the amp and let the two kick each others ass......is sounds just like a gibson humpin' a marshall..........the only thing i don't like is that there is too much of a difference between the rythym and treble pick ups.........

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
the action is perfect, fast and low, there are a few flaws in the binding, and some clear coat flaws on the back of the headstock. everything else is the cat's ass.

Reliability/Durability : 9
i've been usin' it on the road for 3 months, no problems yet. i move around alot, and jump and run around, and i haven't had a strap button failure yet. I would never gig without a back up guitar, that's just stupid...............plus you look alot cooler when you come out with another les paul later in the set..........

Customer Support : No Opinion
i am my own customer support

Overall Rating : 10
ive been playin' for about 8 years, on the road for 2, i have a '68 gold top, that WAS my main axe, now this one is. if this guitar was stolen, i swear i would give up playin' guitar to track the bastard down. every guitar is different, wheter they come off the same line on the same day a second apart, they are both gonna be different, i don't care if they are gibson's or fenders or whatever, no two guitars are alike, unless they are custom built to be that way, every chunk of wood is different..........i got really lucky with this guitar, it could have been a turd..........but it aint'

Late 90's guitar; Typical Les Paul set up front and back; Chrome or steel hardware including tuners; great sunburst look. Heavy like a Paul. The headstock looks a bit cheap (and not just because it doesn't say Gibson). For some reason it appears little and meek compared to the rest of the guitar. Fits perfectly into a Les Paul HSC.

Sound : 7
I owned a '74 Standard (stolen from my apartment!!!) and recently bought a 1990 Custom. The Tradition was, by far the finest copy I played, or for that matter, the finest electric that is not considered one of the "A list". I thought about putting in some top of the line pickups but was afraid it could blow out the guitar.
I rate it a 7 'cuz it's basically 70 percent the sound of a Gibson Les Paul. Or consider this: 70 percent the Gibson sound at one-eighth the cost ain't bad. (Attention Tradition: Feel free to use that slogan!)

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
No doubt the strong suit on this axe. Unbelievable neck; great harmonics and ring when unplugged; perfect intonation and very versatile action. You like jazz: just by some 10's or 11's and adjust higher. Into speedwork? Throw on the 9's and play low. The Tradition can do it all.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I took good care and was rewarded with no problems.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a Paul copy. Find a store that carries tradition and play it. For some reason, it feels better than any other Les Paul while sounding better than ALL (read: Epiphone) the copies.

I'm not sure of the year im guessing 2001. It was made in china i think. 22 frets, two covered pickups, rosewood fretboard, theres binding on the guitar and the neck none on the headstock, It has retangular fret markers like on a gibson les paul custom but the head stock isnt fancy. It has a tune o matic bridge with your usual toggle and volume and tone controls. The finish on mine is a sparkly black but it really just looks like black. the tuners look nice and keep in tune well. oh yeah it has a set neck!

Sound : 10
Oh jesus mary n' joseph...Satan speaks through this guitar. I play whatever i feel like. People describe it as noise and metal thrown together with a hint of sillyness. I use a marshall avt50 head with an old crate cabinet. i use a dod death metal distortion a boss flanger and a digitech whammy for the most part. When i tried out this guitar at the store i played through a small kustom amp (the store was loaded with them) I got a nice crunch out of it and it was super quiet. it was very versatile. but when i got home and hooked it up to my marshall it went crazy. i keep the gian all the way up and the volume on the guitar was all the way up so i was getting lots of feedback, so i just rolled it back a lil so its fine now. but feedback is a part of me, it just surprised me that it was bit noisy. but i dont really mine it was a steal!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
i raised the action just a little when i got home. everything seems fine and im sure it is. there was a lil nick on the paint job but i dont care. Im not sure what the wood is im guessing its mahogany but i dont know its heavy as hell.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I havent played live with it yet im going to soon. I have used a strap for practice and ihe buttons seem okay. I think the finish will last. i wish it wouldnt i want to see the wood show up. its a very sturdy guitar. If the hardware gets "gunky" ill just replace it.
i love this geetar!

Customer Support : No Opinion
no i havent spoken to them, i can barely find any info on them online. i dunno anything about a warranty...sheesh

Overall Rating : 10

exact copy of a les paul standard with the pickup switch in the right place at the top quilted top ice finish the binding is good not a showpiece but adequate grover style tuners jumbo frets humbuckers are the originals i give it an 10 becuase it all works with no problems plus i`ve found that KISS is a good rule all those extra switches give me problems

Sound : 10
this guitar is blues-tastic if you want that deep heavy gibson rumble this is the one for you as far as trying to get the tele sound or anthing like that this has no coil splitter or anything-come to think of it that must be why i bought the tele oops&the strat too? but it does have that humbucker heaven sound for shore this is a travelin grand piano as far as i`m concerned

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
setup needed work i bought it used & i believe everyone has their own preference anyway the fit&finish is very good though this thing is better than some gibsons i`ve played & i`m not just talking everything is right where it should be&it sounds good an 8 though becuase it isnt quite as fancy as it could be on binding etc

Reliability/Durability : 10
i dont see a problem with this guitar everything on this is solid i have an old straplock screw on system that i put on this&the buttons are very sturdy the guitar is built well-cant find anything on tradition guitars but i`ll tell ya what i`d buy another also if you have more than one guitar to your name why would you ever gig without a backup?

Customer Support : No Opinion
like i said i havent even been able to find the company so no opinion i also dont know why you`d need em

Overall Rating : 10
i`ve been playing for 26 yrs still gig off&on have owned some much more expensive guitars but in the last ten yrs there has been a boom in GOOD CHEAP guitars this is one of them
