Quality Korean, NICE Transparant flamed top, candy apple red, slim super strat style basswood body, tilt back headstock, Ibanez/Jackson style 4 bolt maple neck, Rosewood fretboard, 24 med frets, dual humbucker, one volume, one tone , one three way, black hardware, stoptail. PLASTIC NUT! -1
Has all you really need. Nice to look at, better to play. A few minor tweaks and she's ready.

It came with Traditions own branded buckers called Black Medallion . Nice stock pups, Very nice indeed. They really grow on you fast, instead of going the other way. I had a lot of fun with them, in fact I left them in for way longer than most but I had a set of older Bill Lawrence that I had to put in. I waited for a while for just the right platform for them, It was worth the wait. WOW factor 10 now. But lets talk Stock sound. It was not heavy or muddy or thick, not buzzy or distorted or bottom heavy at all. Not thin or brittle or flat or jangly, just very articulate! Alnico sound. I honestly don't know if they are but they sound like it. Very clear and nice seperation and balance. They basically just fed a nice clean punch and the amp and stomp box settings take it from there. No dirt in, no dirt out! Just great quiet humbuckers. There is a Michael Angelo Batio video floating around online somewhere and he plays one with the stock pups so you can get a great idea how they sound. Very shred worthy and some great blues tones in there too. Tube amps loved it..

Set up like a dream. I don't know if it came out of the box this way or if the shop set it up, didn't matter, I saw it on the wall, the price was right, it played effortlessly and fast. Everything was straight where it should have been, flawless fit and finish, hardware tight and right. Nice finish on the frets. Intonation spot on. Action can go just about down to the wire. It is extremely low all the way up the neck. Nice to have to raise it instead of trying to lower it. It had one obvious mistake in the assembly. I've seen this on so many guitars it's not funny, They had the pickup mounting/surround rings, on backwards. The high side to the front not towards the bridge where it needs to be to keep both the coils even and parallel to the strings..Archtop owners know what I mean there. NO big deal, I put it right. This plays perfect, buzz free, low and very very fast. I have 9's on it and they're way to slinky, too fast even. This guitar makes you want to dig in so tens or elevens are next. No real complaints at all. It's a real sleek, Nice, beautiful and fast guitar. Like a Cheetah! Stripes and all!

Reliability/Durability : 9
Don't know how long it will last. It's thin like an Ibanez S and it has a pretty thin and pointy horn that holds the strap button. Could easily be damaged there without some kind of straplock system or reinforcement. Overall I'd say the guitar is fairly lean and mean looking. The headstock angles slightly back which helps reduce string tension, making it so fast to play but you can't lay it flat on it's back without the headstock tip hitting first. It could chip there if not careful, Also the tuners are more like pings, a bit small. Could be an issue one day. The neck is set tight with 4 recessed screws of a hefty size. Not tiny Fender types. The finish looks pretty solid. No chips or dings yet and it taken more than a few hard knocks. It's not syrupy thick like some. Overall the whole guitar is built for comfort and speed. NO fatigue here. Fingers or backs! Real typical of the higher quality Korean Imports these days. This one's right up there with the best of them but it is a slim one. It's not broke yet so I'll say 9

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't needed them and I'm hoping I never do.

Been playing on and off for about twenty five odd years. From the days of the great 80's Jap guitars. Had my share od Arias, Electra and Vantages back then. Wish I still did. Had my share of a lot of other brands through the years including Fender and of course Gibson. Id say these Korean Traditions are probably built as good as they are going to get. As good as the big gun companies if not better. They get much better the price goes way up and we're back to the made in USA prices for the same thing. Overall I'd say out of all the guitars Ive had this is as nice as any. Very unique and worthy of a great reputation for the price point it's a worthy guitar.

I had a tradition les paul model and traded for some other gear.{Wish I would not have don that}I missed it and found this one a jumped on it.I would gig with this without a back up anytime.I have been in two bands and played out for over 6 years. This will be my main axe.

Been playing over 20 years. The tradition guitars are made well and hold up well.If stolen I would buy another one.I have two Ibanez Jems and they are my favorite guitars but I do not play out with them. This is a great guitar for live playing or just at home.Check them out they have about 5 different models to choose from and have some cool finishes too.
