Ok I admit I just pasted this stuff in...but it's already been covered.
Anyway, I bought this on ebay 3 weeks ago, on a second chance auction. I couldn't resist the price. I had heard a lot of good stuff about Tradition. I swore I would never by another strat copy, but at the price I was offered, I figured I couldn't lose. This guitar has tons of features. It has a great pop in whammy bar, coil taps, Grover locking tuners. rollers on the bridge saddle, hotrail humbuckers...scads of cool things. The whammy works great, never throws the guitar out of tune

I am currently running my guitars through a Crate VTX200s Stereo amp. I use a Zoom GFX-1 with a Boss Chorus pedal. I forced myself to hold off on a doing a review until a reasonable amount of time had passed. I always go through a period of euphoria when I first get a guitar...thinking...wow...this is the greatest guitar ever...then later...mmmmm I don't know if I really like this...and there I go back to Ebay. Well, in the case of the Sp-1. I sent my Schecter corsair and Gibson SG packing after 3 weeks with this guitar. Frankly, with all the tonal possibilities, and the incredibly warm sound of this axe...I just didn't need those guitars. It's just a really fine guitar. Man, when I run this thru the Zoom with a little gain and chorus, and then use the coil taps to switch to single coil...it just nails the jangly bell like Fender sound. I read in another review that you can't get the fender sound with this guitar.....you gotta be kidding...it's right on the money. Just great for mellow blues, but also, in the humbucker mode, great for any other kind of playing...even metal. I love this guitar! And this is from a guy who is not really fond of the ergonomics of the strat...but I am forcing myself to get used to it. I hate to give any guitar a 10...but this one is a 10.

Play predominantly fingerstyle jazz chord melody and blues in a solo setting, and in a pop/folk/jazz/etc. duet with my (vocalist) wife. I have only used this guitar at home to date. I have used it in conjunction with my Fender Acoustisonic SFX and Polytone Mini Brute amps to get great clean, clear jazz sounds. I have also used it with my Roland Cube 30 for great overdriven blues and rock sounds. (I was originally shopping for a new archtop when I found this guitar. I was especially taken by the clarity, articulation, and warmth of the pickups in humbucking mode. The pickups also sound great in single coil mode. (Compared to my 1972 "transition" Stratocaster and American Standard Telecaster)

The guitar was originally set-up with .009 guage strings. Changing to .10 guage really brought the guitar to life. The guitar is very well put together. All of the workmanship is top notch. Inlays are clean, frets are level and smooth. The only minor flaw that I have found is that the low E and high E are not exactly centered on the fret board. The difference is hardly noticable and has not affected the playability at all.

Appears to be a very well built guitar. Playing solo chord melody arrangements may be the least stressful duty a guitar may ever see. I think I could hang without a backup.

Never had to deal with the company to date. I have heard that they are good people to deal with.

I have been playing for 33 years. Like everyone else that seems to write, I own a lot of guitars (25). Many (many) years ago I took a chance on an unknown guitar company, Ibanez, that was just starting to make a name for its self with their excellent copy guitars. My 355 copy has been one of my main guitars for years. The Koreans are now making excellent, affordable, instruments. This guitar is a good example. For the price, I think it's a no brainer. If it were lost or stolen I would get another one immediately. First, because I could afford to. Second, because it is a great, versatile, fun to play instrument.

Cant find any real info on the guitar. email tradition and they say they'll update soon. ive had the guitar for 4 months and still no info. all i know is.....looks to be basswood body with a maple top , but could just be paint job. sunburst, white poloroid pickguiars. 3 tradition single-size humbuckers with coil taps and a 5 way switch. maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, 1 volume, 1 tone. grover 18-1 tuners, and what appears to be a wilkerson style. it has a roller nut as well.
