I have had this guitar for about 2-3 years and have started using it in place of my Mexican Strats. Fretboard is a bit flat and wide for my taste, but guitar plays well and has nice tone from the stock pickups. Maple neck. I believe the body is basswood, but I am not sure. The tuners are solid and I have installed a Trem-King tremolo unit which is awesome and which keeps the guitar in tune even if I break a string. When I first bought the guitar and would turn down the volume on the bass pickup for rhythm, it would give me a bassier tone than when I had it up full bore. I had a tech install a pot that prevented this and it sounds good now at any volume.

I play blues and blues/rock. It sounds great for this style of music! Even better than my Mexican Strats. I play it through a 1966 blackface Fender Concert with 4 10 inch speakers. The Concert was a Fender "downscale" from the Super Reverb. Same power and speaker configuration, but they charged $50 less for it because there was no reverb on it. I use an Electro Harmonix Holy Grail reverb unit and it works quite well. Bridge and middle pickups are not any noisier than regular Fender single coils (or the Texas Special pickups for that matter which I have on one of my Strats) and the tone is terrific. The treble position Humbucker pickup gives this guitar some variety in tone as well. Love it.

Action was good when I got it, but I had it adjusted since. All of the parts were solid if not spectacular.

I have been using this guitar for about the past year and a half as my main guitar. Yes, it has held up well, so far anyway. Volume and Tone controls don't feel QUITE as solid as a Fender, but this is a minor complaint. Finish is nice. I have Strap-Locks on and the buttons have held up fine. I'd say it is very dependable. I always use a backup, regardless. If I break a string, it's just handier.

I haven't had any problems with it, so I can't answer this.

I have played since 1965. I would buy another. Tone and looks are great; especially for the $$$.

This guitar has a HSS pickup configuration with the humbucker in the bridge position. The Strat style tremelo works as good as any Fender that I have played. Mine has a silver metallic finish. The tuners are sealed and work very smoothly. The neck is a little too flat for my choice but, that seems to be the style these days. The bridge saddles seem high quality, a lot better than my Fender Strat.

I bought this guitar just to keep at our practice studio to avoid carrying my Fender and Gibson around but, I am amazed at the quality of tone on this unit. I've been playing for 35+ years and I've always walked by the import copys of guitars but, this thing is outstanding. The pickups on this guitar are at least as good as any American made Strat. The humbucker is really powerful, with a very full tone and the single coils produce a very clear, clean sound. I been thinking of adding a coil tap to the humbucker to give me another option for sounds. This guitar is so well rounded for tones that I find myself playing my Fender Strat and Les Paul more and more. Also, the sustain is better than my Fender, it really rings after you hit a chord.

Setup was probably the weakest area of this guitar. I had to reset the action and intonation but, then again, I bought it straight out of the shipping box without letting the dealer do any setup at all so it's not too fair to be real critical in this area. After I did my initial setup the guitar plays just fine. I noticed that the locking nut on the top of the tuners did require tightening during my first string change, probably due to a little wood shrinkage from intial assembly. Really no big deal but, worth mentioning. The fit and finnish of this guitar are perfect. The neck fits extremely tight in the body pocket and the silver finnish is flawless. Even the chrome puts my Fender to shame. I don't know how they do it for the price they charge compared to a Fender.

I use this guitar a lot and I have no doubts that it will take any normal abuse that a person can dish out. It has held up fine on the job. Now that I have tightening the tuner lock nuts, it requires minimal retuning. No backup guitar required except for a quick bailout if you break a string. Definitly none required in the area of reliability.

I have called Tradition's toll free number before I bought the guitar just to get some general info. They were extremely helpful and it was a nice change to talk to someone who was technically knowledgeable instead of just a sales person. I feel that if I have a problem, they will be there to help me. That's all that I can ask.

My only change that I would like to see on this guitar is a little softening of the edges of the fingerboard, other that that it is really very good. Don't pass up the opportunity to play or own one of these if you get the chance. Your going to have to spend 4 to 5 times as much to find this kind of quality in another brand. I would definitely replace it with another Tradition guitar if it were stolen.

Fat H/S/S, Solid Alder body. Rosewood fretboard/maple neck, 5way switch, Strat style tremelo clone, Tradition pups, passive. Non locking tuners, string-thru body, silver metallic! 2003 made in Oz apparently! It's a fat Fat Strat. If it had more switching options I'd give it a 10 but very few are any different.

I've had mine for about nine months now and after listening to it through a variety of different amp combos, both tube and solid state, I have to say this thing sounds incredible. I've played a ton of strats through the years and owned a pile of copies but this one is the keeper. Sounds better stock than any other I can remember. The five way gives distinctly different and more importantly usuable sounds. Every one is outstanding. From crystal clarity at the bridge settings without the piercing brittleness of generic pups to the classic SRV/Jimi out of phase, to a beautiful warm jazz on the neck pup, it's really got it all covered. I still can't believe it everytime I play it. I own a G&L Legacy and a G&L Asat also and I bought this after hearing some great things about them by a couple players in Nashville and figured I could always use another practice rig just to save the use on my G&L's. Well I gotta say that I am blown away by these Tradition guitars and would still be at twice the price. I play this one constantly. The G&L's have a more pristine sound, almost a bit too sterile but the Tradition flat out has balls. Something you can dig into. They are by far the best built, best sounding stock Strat copy I have ever heard. I only give it a 9 because they don't sound like two thousand dollar guitars and don't try to and they have just a bit more single coil hum than some others. But they have enough power and sound quality to overlook that or address it with a little shielding if you felt the need. If you want something with a ton of classic strat character without paying the high dollar look no further. IMO they are definitely better than any import Fender and way way too many american ones. If you ever run across one give it a try, it's worth it. But get one if you can because they don't make them any longer. I give it a ten because of the sound for the price. If it was $1000 I wouldn't be so generous. But it's as close as you can get for this kind of cheese. Kind of scary really. Really scary!

This is another great thing about them. Mine is built tight and clean. Heavy duty knobs and three ply pick guard, not the cheap thin plastic kind on other copies. The 5 way has stayed tight and silent and the tremelo is solid as rock. Haven't had a single issue with it. The finish is smooth and even. The neck fits the pocket tight. The action came lower than my G&L asat without one bad fret, I know how lucky I was on that. The fret edges were smooth. There is always some issue with frets and this is no different. My only problem with the frets is that they're small. I personally prefer jumbo frets for years of future filing but these have held up without a single mark for nine months so I won't complain too much. The fretboard also seems a bit flatter than some. Probably about at least a 12" but I'm guessing closer to 13 or 14. My G&L ASAT has a 7.5", That's about as round as the small end of a baseball bat. Too round! The tuners are sufficient, they're not schallers or Grovers but they aren't crap either. They do just fine. I had one problen with intonation on the g string but a little tweaking brought her back. Nut was cut low enough and seems just right. The best part is that every string sets directly over the pole pieces. Look at 90% of every other import and see if that holds true. Overall an 8 just because it could have been better.

This guitar will withstand live playing, In fact I think it requires it. It been rock solid so far. I haven't put strap locks on it yet but it should have 'em. This is a tough, extremely well built Strat copy that feels like it can take a ton of abuse. And for the price you won't feel bad about a few bruises. It is a very worthy only guitar or backup, jam, practice or recording guitar. Worth every penny, will give it a 9 because of those small frets again! They won't last as long as jumbos.

I e-mailed quite a few times before the purchase to find out as much as possible. They are in Tullahoma Tn. I'm in Nashville. Took a couple days each time I believe to get back and they weren't the most informative people I ever read but they did get back with me and they did help. I haven't had any need for their services since I got it but would guess they would be about the same so I'll give 'em a 7. They could have been more informative!

Been playing about 20 years, have owned a million different items of musical paraphenalia. Far too numerous to count. And the collecting continues...Currently play G&L's through Fender Twin and DeVille with pile of misc. effects. Would like this guitar even more if it had a slightly rounder neck and larger frets and a bit of cavity shielding. I'd buy another in a heartbeat, But they don't make the T10's or 12's any longer so you better get 'em while you can. If I had too venture a guess it's probably because Fender is pressuring them or their dealers. Or they cost more to make than they could charge in the flooded Strat clone market. They have G10's and 12's made from Basswood instead of Alder though and I hear they are better yet. Hmmmn. Just wish they had more dealers 'cause they're tough to find. 9 Because there's room for improvement but 10 for the price!
