I believe this model was made in Japan in the early sixties. This is the same guitar that Mr. Jack White of the White Stripes plays. Has 2 pickups, 2 tone and volume knobs for each pickup and a master volume knob. Pretty basic controls. It's made of fiberglass, or "Res-O-Glas" as they called it, so it goes out of tune all the time. Has no truss rod so you can't set the action on the neck. It has a wooden "Tune-O-Matic" bridge wich is alright. The pickups cannot be adjusted. It is in MINT condition but, it's a very crappy guitar overall.

Sound : 8
I play everything from psychedelic to modern garage rock. I bought this guitar based on it's looks not it's sound. But, it was a steal at $150.00 w/ origional case. Anyway, it's not too noisy, buzzes a little but that's all. I run it through a vintage 60 watt Univox head and a Silvertone cab with 67' Jenson Special Design speakers.

It sound very good clean, or with distortion. The bridge pickup has a really good punch while the neck pickup is very warm and thick. I'm sure the fiberglass body also helps create it's very unique sound. It's got a great sound but the playability sucks.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
The action is too high and you can't have it too low because the pickups get in the way and they cannot be adjusted. The tuning pegs had to be replaced because they just didn't cut it. I replaced them with locking tuners. I'm loving the red color. It has a very thick and glossy clear coat so it shines!

Reliability/Durability : 2
This guitar will probably fall apart, it feels like it's going to fall apart every time I play it. It's hollow, made of fiberglass and feels like a toy. I don't think it would survive a 3 foot fall.

Customer Support : No Opinion
IT WAS MADE IN 1964!

Overall Rating : 8
I have been playing for a long time and I must say that this guitar cannot beat my Strat. But, it looks great and has a very unique sound. If it were stolen I would find the fag that stole it, rip his arms off and beat him with them! It's a cool little guitar and I would love to have it around as long as possible. But, if I ever have to buy a new one, I won't be paying $1,000 - $3,000 for it like most of these Jack White wannabees.
