Made in China. 2006.
This is a standard full size classical guitar, with a solid cedar top.
The top has a reddish brown fairly dark stain, and is really very very pretty.
Nicely bound 5 ply, black and stripes matching the top. Nice soundhole rosette.
Mahogany back and sides. Very nice 3 ply center stripe, beautifully finished and highly glossy all over.
Mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, bridge, peghead overlay and heel cap.
Bone nut and saddle!
Fairly good tuners with nice plate design. They hold tune well.
I think they could be replaced by some who appreciate this guitar is easily worth it.
Why a 10?
This guitar lists for 199.00.
It's worth 199.00 easily.
It looks just great, and plays very nicely. The tone has started to come up in just the first nite out of the case.
Ok call it a nine if you think the tuner buttons look a bit cheap.
but that's nitpicking.

Sound : 10
I play country and folk and rock and pop and blues and classical, ha ha.
this guitar does what a classical can do.
It seemed a tad midrangy at first.. but it's mellowed and the top and bottom are both stronger in just one night.
At this price point, this is really a heck of an instrument.
I bought this for me, but I'm going to offer them in my guitar hobby shop immediately.
A ten given it's price range... if you want top sound, pay top money.
If you want a really nice little guitar, that looks great and plays nice and is warm and bright and pleasing all around. Here ya go.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The action was high. I removed quite a bit of the bone saddle with my dremel.
It's still a bit high, I could have gone further, but it plays very nicely, and lowering the action even further would cause no problem.
I'm already lower than many classical players prefer.
Everything was just fine. Well done overall, good fretwork, great finish, nice wood, pretty design, colors well matched and complimentary.
A sweetheart.
I was a yamaha classica fan for a long time.. I thought nobody would do a lower end classical as well.
No more.
If you think set up is something that should be perfect out of the box, give it a nine.
I dont. I give it a ten.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I dunno how well it will hold up. I sure hope it does.
I'll say so here, if it doesn't.
It's light. And classical guitars are made thin so they vibrate a lot.
With good care, however, I can't see why there would be a problem.
I'll offer no rating.

Customer Support : 10
Saga is great. Very friendly. Always willing to help and offering good fast shipping and decent prices on guitars and more.
Ha. I forgot to even ask about warranty.
I'm sure it has some typical offering a year or more..
I'm sure it will outlive the warranty.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing since the early sixties.
I own a ton of gear, I've got fifteen guitars in the living room right now.
I own a guitar hobby shop.
I would replace this with this immediately. Unless I spent more, and that would be to try and even better Valencia.
this is the second to the top guitar, that one has a solid spruce top, and rosewood back and sides for 279.00.
I am going to try about all of Valencias classical guitars.. I think this company is doing a very good job.
Teachers. listen up. here it is. A student would get many good years out of this classical, and probably never sell it if he's smart.
