From Pop to Hard Rock everything ist possible. If you want to play Jazz, then there are better guitars (my opinion). It has a very large sound variety. Sparkling clean to burning Overdrive-Sounds. The EMG'S are absolutely noiseless. I love those Pick-Ups.

After 13 years of playing the guitar, the first three frets need a change. The screw that holds the big E-String needet three changes because the metal gets soft an broke.
The Battery lasts for ever, awesome. I can use this guitar without a backup.

I play for 16 jears now. I use ENGL and MARSHALL Valve Heads with a 4x10 Marshall cabinett. I use a Music Man LUKE. It is similar to the Valley Arts, and Better! I'm looking out for a Valley Arts Custom Pro. They are very rare, cause people keep them. I love my Valley Arts and I never give it away. It was my first professional Guitar and I'm still using it a lot in one of my three Bands.

This guitar was designed by Michael McGuirre himself. It was hand-made in Japan in 1992. Its got 22 frets, solid top, Master volume and tone and 5-way selector. Pickup configuration is S/S/S. All EMG active pickups. Body material is swamp ash and neck is ebony on maple. Finish is Nitro-cellulose lacquer. The body style is basically a strat. Tremolo is Hi-density, non-locking. Tuners are Valley Arts. Neck/Scale length is 25 1/2.

Its suits my music style very well. It's great for funk, jazz, and pop. I use a Crate GX-60 with it. No noise at all! It's got a rich, bright sound. Since this guitar has a 5 way selector, it can make different types of twangy or clean sounds. With overdrive, this thing can also growl but not as powerful as a humbucker. For the dislikes, i'm not really used to active pickups so i'm still having difficulty getting the sound i want.

The reason why I bought this guitar was because of the action and the comfort in playing it. Even if you put a heavy gauge of strings, it still feels light and can easily be played. The frets are great and the intonation is great!

Yup its toughly built! I bought this guitar also for gigging. I have other guitars but i'd rather not bring them out of the house. This one is my main axe now because its easy to play and is tough!

I've been playing for 12 years. I own a PRS, Gibson Les Paul Custom, Fender Strat Plus Deluxe, Hagstrom H2N, Gibson Super 400. For the amps, I have a Crate GX-60, a 1972 Fender Bassman 50. If this Valley Arts were stolen, I would have a hard time finding another one coz this axe is RARE!!! I love its action and durability. For the sound, i think i'll replace the pickups to passive ones (personal preference). But overall I think this guitar is superb!
