Vantage 1040350

I got this guitar used from an ad in the bargain finder, I was interested in getting a guitar and 90 bucks sounded like a sweet deal. This guitar features; S/S/H, 24 frets, solid top, volume, tone, tone, 5 way selector and a switch that changes the humbucker into single (Fuzzes when changed), See through black finsih (Very Sweet), Vantage pickups (Sucky but don't make a lot of noice), String thru, Fairly smooth Vantage tuners, Rosewood fingerboard, The guy gave me a cheasy gold sparkly springy strap, an old kazoo tuner thing Wammi Bar and a good case, For $90 Bucks this thing is SWEEEEEEEET but it looks so much better than it is, with the see through finsih and stuff. Was missing the black thing that you hold with your fingers on the five way selctor but I found one and put it on. Came with 3 Acoustic strings put on the wrong places LOL!!!

It doesn't have the greatest sound, and it makes a very high pitched noice when i put my distortion pedal on loud. I've used it through my brothers Peavey 5150 and it still isn't very good but i ussually use it through my Peavey Microbass. I play lots of different styles, Punk, Rock, Metal, stuff that sounds good. I like that it can get really punch and bright and really muddy and Full, but it doesn't do it well.

Welll it sucked when I got it but after a free set up at Music Centre Canada and some new strings and stuff, It sounded way better. I didn't have to adjust the pickups very much, no scrathes a mior dent that you can barly see. There is something wrong with the strap locks the one keeps getting loose till the point where it almost falls off, I just keep skrewing it back in though. The bridge and tuners and the knobs were fine when I got it.

I would definaty not gig with this thing, This could be my back up, I've had this thing fall and although the wood can take a beating without leaving a scratch the elecrtronics can't. The hardwear seems fine enough, the finsih will probobly last forever, As I said before the strap locks are loose, I don't know if I can depend on it and it seems to break strings easily

No one helped me with it except MCC (Music Centre Canada).

This wasn't something I thought very long before buying it because I saw such a good deal. If this were stolen or lost I would be peaved very peaved, I couldn' get a new one so I would get a new and better guitar which I plan to do anyways, but I also plan to keep this guitar. I love this guitar because I got it dirt cheap! I don't hate it but there are things I hate about like; Some noices you get when switch the knowbs and stuff and when you get too loud on the distrotion and stuff. I wish they had paid better attention to the pickups and stuff instead of the way it looks but I'm not complaining. I really like this guiatasr and although it's not that great I GOT IT FOR CHEAP SO WHO CARES!!!
