Made in Korea. 24 frets (must be the only thing I appreciate in this guitar nowadays). It has three VERY shitty Vantage single coil pick-ups, I should've changed them. Volume, two tones and a 5-way selector. Electronics are passive and the finish is a classic sunburst.

Sound : 4
This guitar does NOT fit in Metal (or anything else with heavy distortion). There is no way you can get this thing sound good with heavy distortion, unless you change the pick-ups. This guitar is made for clean playing (actually it sounds pretty good clean with my Fender).

I've been using this mainly with my Fender amp (although I've tried this with Marshall Valvestate and some Laneys too) and Boss Metal Zone distortion. I've also tried lots of multi-effect pedals with this; didn't work.

Clean: +
Distortion & effects: - - -

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The first thing I noticed when buying this guitar was that it's body is made of ONE piece of wood. This is a definite plus. Although they used cheap woods, this guitar is pretty nicely done. It's a crying shame they used so crappy parts.

Reliability/Durability : 6
This is my first guitar and therefore it is the most used one. I played only this guitar for over four years (the last year I was REALLY pissed I didn't have better guitar), which included few gigs and lots of training. The problem area has been the output plug, which I have to repair at least two times a year. This is only a minor operation, takes a couple of minutes to repair. Everything else has worked just fine.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't dealt with any.

Overall Rating : 6
I've played for about 5 years now. I used to own only this guitar until I bought a Charvel Model 4 about a year ago.
If someone stole this from me, I wouldn't buy another one. I have better things to do, you know.
This guitar, even if it might not fit in heavy metal, is very special to me. It might not sound the way I'd like it to sound, but still it is my first guitar.

I bought this for 600 finnish marks, which is about 100 dollars. And believe me, it's a good guitar for $100. :)

korean made
24 frets
1 volume, 2tone knobs
3 passive single coils (vantage), with 5 way selector
sweet blue transparant finish
dinky model with normal tremolo (not floyd)

Sound : 6
this is no metal guitar at all, if you want a metal guitar, don't by one with 3 (low output) single coils, try to get one with a humbucker in bridge position, there is a lot of feedback when you use a distortion pedal, this guitar is made to be played clean or at least with a bit of overdrive... or install some new single coils which can handle a lot of gain (or buy a new guitar...)

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
the action was good when i bought it, but i lowered it a bit... playability is terrefic, nice neck...

Reliability/Durability : 8
very reliable guitar, needs to be tuned once in a couple of weeks, everything looks very good, i changed the original straps to lockable ones...

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them

Overall Rating : 7
this is a very good beginner's guitar
i wouldn't buy it again if stolen
but if this is gonna be your first guitar, i'd go for it...

This guitar is made in Korea. It's a perfect guitar for beginners. It has 24 frets, three single-pickups. The Tremolo is a fender-like thing.... The pickups are quite good for metal... they are standard Vantage picks (passive) This guitar features the standard knobs for volume and tone, and a 5-way selector...

Sound : 7
I play guitar for 2 years now, mostly metal (black/death)... I have a Boss Metal Zone (MT2) for my distortion. With distortion the sound is good, but not as 'heavy' as a good humbucker... The clean sound is a bit rich... this guitar is perfect for metal-like styles...

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
The guitar looked as new, even i bought it 2nd hand... So no further comments on this

Reliability/Durability : 9
I've bought a Jackson Dinky (which is a FANTASTIC guitar!) for the betrer sound.. but if i have to play with the band on stage, i'll take my vantage too... Just for safety (breaking strings on a Floyd Rose for example).. I can depend on this guitar!!

Overall Rating : 8
For beginners this is the perfect guitar!! but for the more advanced player it's a good second (or more) guitar...
