Features : No Opinion
H/S/S pickup setup
floyd rose style bridge
everything else was pretty standard.

Sound : 1
i can't say anything positive about the sound of this guitar.
the stock pickups were lifeless. weak treble and mids.

the only positive thing i can say about the sound is that it produced sound. so i guess that's good... it worked?

never tried swapping out the pickups... you'll see why as this goes on.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
this was hands down the worst guitar i have ever owned OR played.
it felt absolutely terrible... the only way i can explain it is "stiff". the strings always felt stiff on it, didn't matter what guage or how new they were. even when i got a pro set up on it, it still didn't feel like a guitar should. it made me hate playing guitar and sadly at the time it was my only piece of equipment and i didn't have money to buy another guitar... i even tried to sell the thing and even a pawn shop didn't want to take it.

as far as the finish and all that, it seemed fine.

Reliability/Durability : 2
personally... i think any guitar with a floyd rose is unreliable live and you should have a backup. if a string breaks it all goes out of tune.

BUT i think i'd have to be pretty desperate if i actually used this thing live. i borrowed gear from people for shows while i owned this guitar because there is no way i was playing this live.

Customer Support : 10
no idea... i don't think the company is around anymore.

Overall Rating : 1
at the time i was probably playing for 3 or 4 years. now it has been 13 years and to this day i haven't played anything that felt and sounded as bad as that guitar.

this was a stupid purchase made by an uninformed kid at the time... however, as young and inexperienced as i was i did realize how bad this guitar was shortly after. it looked cool, i'll give it that. i remember really liking the body shape at the time and definitely wanted a floyd rose guitar but this ended up being the worst thing i have ever bought. not just the worst guitar. the worst thing.

this guitar is long gone, but if i still had it i wouldn't care if it was stolen. it would probably make me laugh if someone took it. there is no way i'd replace it.

i don't recommend this guitar to anyone. not to beginners, not to advanced players, not to anyone wanting to play any sort of music. it really isn't good for anything.

Well lets see here what can i say about e finish other than Beauty... i mean crazy hot look to the thing of course that's why i bought it... got it at a yard sale for 50 bones cause the guy was crazy and it didn't work.. opened it up sodered one wire and boom hot guitar again... she's a strat style with a transparent heavy gloss finish over a pink/black flower petal body... haven't seen anyone pick it up without being in total awe of it... floyd rose bridge.. which i friggin hate cause it's a pain in the butt to tune and goes out of tune all the time..locking nut..very nice for a 50 dollar garage sale guitar..all the pickups and tuners say Vantage all over them..don't know if there someone elses or not don't know when it was made but i bought it in 92 at a garge sale so i'm guessing early 80's 24 friggin giant frets on a maple neck. body appears to be solid and again looks like it's been dipped in plastic cause no way to scratch this puppy friggin hard as a turtle shell has a s/s/h pick up configuation

Sound : 8
tend to be a rythum player but i'll break out wth a few licks everyonce in a while... just use my peavey rage158 practice amp but the thing "when in tunr" really cranks.. i've owned a martin hollow body, and old les paul, and a yamaha before this one and only the les paul sounded better... only problem with it is gets a little fat on the static especially on anything heavy like rage or Zombie.. but i play such a mix mash of stuff that it really isn't an issue

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
again bought at a garage sale for 50 bucks can't really gripe about any work I had to have done to it.. except the damn bridge god what a piece of crap thought about swapping it for a better one but i'd pay more for the bridge than i did for the guitar and i'm lookin at a new godin right now so why bother

Reliability/Durability : 7
right now it's my back up but like is said the damn bridge lol strap buttons are great screw in style never fall off...it is my back up right now so no i wouldn't use it solely

Customer Support : No Opinion
company does'nt even exist now so i don't know but the thing is a garage sale guitar...

Overall Rating : 8
i've been playing about 20 years if it got stolen i wouln't cry about it... damn bridge... but the thing is a thing of beauty to look at people see it and go nuts... chicks love it play is ok the neck is too long and can be uncomfortable to play at times but for shear awe factor great guitar... anyone who has one feel free to email me blackthumb17@yahoo.ca

I'm not sure of the year that this thing was made, but it was brand new(never been played) when I bought it, 1995. Balck finish, strat style body with double locking floyd rose bridge, H/S/S pickup configuration, one volume and two tone nobs. The neck was maple 24 medium jumbo frets, locking nut and six-in-line headstock. Although this is a fairly cheap guitar, the tremolo system kicked some serious ass! The allen keys were held on the back of the headstock, and the tremolo arm was screwed into the bridge. This allowed free movement of the arm, with-out tightening from spinning around. The tention was just right, not too loose.

Sound : 4
The pickups were alittle off. I play mainly Slayer/Sepultura/Pantera style music and require very high output pickups. At high gain settings the feedback was unbearable. As for clean sound, this guitar was the shit. The bridge humbucker was fairly bright sounding. Adjusting the tone pot helped. The crap sound of this guitar could easily be fixed with some new pickups.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The guitar was setup good right out of the store. I still had my guitar tech adjust the truss rod and set the intonation just to be sure. The machine heads were nice and tight, and the hardware was great.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
This was a pretty reliable guitar, though I never really used it in a postion were reliability was an issue.

I'm rating this guitar as an amature/begginers instrument. I had only been playing for a couple of years when I bought this guitar. I wanted to have a full floating bridge like my idols used. I was playing through an old Washburn amp with one Celestion 12 in it. I had a boss 6 effect multi-effects pedal board, boss digital metalizer, GE-7 equilizer, as well as a cort guitar I sold to afford the vantage, and finally, my baby... a peice of shit B.C. Rich Rave II Warlock. Oh, mother glory... what a sweet guitar it is.
See B.C. Rich Rave II Warlock for my comments on it.
