Vantage VA 912 - 12 string electric. Serial # 010039
This I believe is around 1985, made in Japan. This 12 string electric boasts 24 frets (pretty sweet for a 12 string) with a solid top. 2 volume, 1 tone, with 2 humbuckers ans 2 coil taps for each one and a 3 way selector. These are stock MK 5 passive pickups. I'm not sure of the wood type, but the wood and electronics are great. Cool stop tailpiece and a bridge. Non-locking Vantage stockk tuners(great). I got it with a hardshell case.
TYou can literally get any sound you want out of this thing!

This guitar doesn't cover all styles, because its obviously a 12 string, lol. However, this guitar kicks ass! i can really emulate some sweet sounds out of this thing! I run it through a Fender Pro 185, no effects except reverb. This guitar is RICH and FULL! I love it for anything I play.I love everything about it!

This guitar hasn't seen the stage with me yet, but I don't doubt it will back down from the chance. Built solid as a rock, and ready to do some ass-kickin, 12 string style! The only worry I have is the strap buttons, because this guitar is top heavy (big headstock, lol) so I would suggest strap locks...I gotta get those soon.

Ive been playin about 2 years now, and I've played alot of guitars in that small time. I'm building a studio here at home, so I see alot of bands come in and not only am I thet're sound guy, I'm they're tech, so I played alot of axes. I wish i knew who owned it beofre me, so i'd know more about its history (value, year, etc..) I love everything and hate nothing. I own another Vantage (Avenger X-77 Custom - Check out that review if you want) and as i said, i run everything through my Fender Pro 185 red-knob (450 watts!!) If you find one of these, get it, you won't regret it!!!
If anybody knows about Vantage gear (alot) please feel free to send me some info about them, I'm trying to find some websites about them...and have only found 1 good one so far. Maybe you can tell me about my guitar (with the serial # above) THANKS!
