Designed in the United States and manufactured in Japan. This 20 fretted Mahogany neck has stayed perfectly straight. It does have an adjustable Truss rod. The converted X bracing has kept the top absolutely level holding tune very well. The back and sides appear to be Rosewood with a solid spruce (cedar) top, along with Rosewood Bridge. It has a Tobacco Burst exterior. One of the previous owners has inlaid on the 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th and 15th Doves & the Fisher of Men Symbol. The tuners are enclosed shallors type. I give the guitar a very high rating on aesthetics as well as acoustics. It comes in a blue velveteen case that has done the guitar a great service.

I find this an easy to fret neck. The sound produced is loud and clear. I would be tickled to death to perform for an audience with this piece. For a sound rating she gets a ten!

This guitar eludes craftsmanship all joints are tight, frets are in great shape. The extra inlay work is absolutely beautiful. This guitar gets a twelve out of ten.

Again this is a workhorse from the tuners to the strap pin. I would not give it a second thought to gig with it. It stays in tune for weeks without needing any adjustments. This is the first Ventura I have owned and it will be in my collection for the rest of my days, they simply do not make them like this any more.

Over all this is a great acoustic. It will take anything that you give it. It was designed as a Gibson 160. I am not 100% sure of the designation, it was the guitar John Lennon made famous.
