Body resembles a strat but with a belly that looks really cool and the finish is of a very expensive custom guitar .. u dont find it in standards. bridge is floyd rose .. Neck is extremely fast .. made of rosewood .. i got with a case and 2 straps.

i play all kinda stuff .. metal ..rock .. blues.. jazz and surprisingly it fits all of them perfectly.. I was really surprised as to how much this guitar sounds ..just GREAT.. its way better than any gibson or fender or even ibanez i've ever seen.. and more importantly it has its own unique character which u cant find anywhere.. the HB-I HB-II pickups are amazing.. better than emg active pickups with a very rich and smooth tone.. the bends are fantastic.. i play it mostly on a roland microcube and when i open the distortion and dont touch any strings u wont even know that amp is on!!.. u can get pretty much any sound u want on this fella.

this guitar is definitely a big surprise .. it has alot of character of its own.. if i ever lose i would definitely be in a bad shape since i wont be able to get another one like as this one is a custom form vester who no longer operate. I love it becuz of its amazing tone .. feel .. action .. neck.. Pickups... I definitely tried other guitars like gibson les paul.. ibanez AR-2000 and some RGs .. Strats ... but this one surpasses them all in a very weird way ..definitely a very good deal since it sounds and looks like a 2000$ guitar .. I would definitely recommend this to anyone .. if u find one of those dont let it slip.

see other reviews for features. Mine features several missing screws ;-). I bought this guitar for a crate of beer and a bottle of whiskey(no shit - really). For the money prolly as good as it gets. Nice details like a clip to hold the 9v battery inside and metal covers for the cavities in the back. Pickups are vester HB-II whick look and sound a bit like emg.

Strangely enough this thing sounds F*CKIN great. Period.
I play it through a yamaha t100c, a 100watt tube amp designed by Soldano(stacks-o-gain). I use a carl martin chorus when playing clean. That's about it.
This guitar is nice and quiet, prolly due to active electronics and good shielding. It has a really decent clean tone, this is not where it shines though. It shines when you put it through a high-gain tubeamp. It sounds full and warm with a nice "drivey" sound. Sounds good when doing some metallica palm muted riffs too. I used to think these guitars were shitty but now that I have one I immediately appreciate it. A really big surprise. Well suited for metal. When you switch to the neck pu and turn down the treble it spits out a nice round jazzy tone. Don't expect anything with a lot of treble though.
Output of pu's is okay with my amp. Output is a bit hotter than with ordinary (stock non-active) pickups but not too much over the top. The word "balanced" comes to mind. The bridge pickup doesn't get muddy and fast notes still manage to break through when playing with heavy distorion.

I got this guitar in a horrid state (used). Looks like they did a good job in the factory on this guitar though because it's still in one piece and still plays well ;-) Finish looks great, very nice sunburst (only green). It has withstood time as well as can be expected.

This guitar is well-suited for playing live. Not to sure yet about how it will withstand dive-bombs. Hardware is good. gotoh tuners, locking nut and floyd-like tremolo. I would feel the necessity to carry a backup, took me a while to get it in tune. I could see that it was ill-treated before however it only took 1 afternoon of tlc to restore it. Volume and tone were a bit crackly but was fixed with contact spray. They took some care of putting in some decent shielding and metal backplates(nice!) whick is probably why it's a quiet guitar.

Dunno, they don't exist anymore. Which is a real pity I reckon.

I've been playing for 11 years and have owned a strat, gibson sg from '71(nice guitar) and a suzuki. I still own the crap suzuki guitar.
If I lost it I would prolly buy a cheapo 7 string and whip in some expensive pickups, then have some fun with it. When I have enough money I will buy a 7 string musicman/petrucci guitar w/piezo. If you can get one of these vesters below $200 it's worth a try. A fun guitar to play. I love the drivey sound of this guitar. Really nice sound for powerchords!
I do wish it could also sound brighter but without losing it's current sound (i dont think that is possible). It's a shame that vester no longer exists. A shame because these are really decent guitars. I have compared it to all other guitars I have owned and some Ibanez guitars(rg7620,7420,7321,S2120, some cheaper piezo models too). The only guitar to beat this one is an Ibanez S2120 which gets more points for versatility (try one-very good sounding guitar!). This is a very much underrated guitar and Vester should not have gone out of business. They did a good job.
Nice metal axe.

Mine is an American made, 24 fret, archtop, 2 humbucker, 3 way selector, 1 volume, 1 tone, was active but is now passive electronics, transparent black maple top, strat style body (reminiscent of Ibanez), Vester 2 way trem bar, with Gotoh tuners. I beleive that is about it. The inlays are pretty cool. The sharfin inlays go one way from 1 to 7 then there are dots at the 9 and 12 positions, and 15 to 24 are the reverse of the 1-7 in lays. Neck is pretty thin almost Ibanez Wizard thin. Feels real nice though.

Man this is where it gets tricky. I read the other review and he's right the tone of the pick-ups was low even though they were active. Let's say dull, uninspiring, make you feel like you can't play s**t tone. Then it happened, I bought a Screamin' Deamon and changed the 250K pot to 500K and it was all over. I give it an 8 only because now I own a Ernie Ball Music Man Axis.

Action is low. Only had one problem and that was the trem. The trick is that once you dive bomb you have to yank it back a little to return it back to pitch. Also the nut for the locks on the last string wore down and when I play the high E open it sounds almost Chinese. The key is not to hit too hard.

For a long time this was my only guitar. Let's just say I could do the 80's throw the guitar around your shoulder 360 degrees and not worry about snaping the neck. I would say that it's durable although I never did a Jimi Hendrix drop and light on fire technique. So I'll give it a 5 per the Jimi Hendrix thing.

I've been playing guitar for 17 years. I actually gave this guitar to my nephew and now own a 2000 Tobacco Sunburst American Fender Stratocaster and a Transluscent Purple Ernie Ball Music Man Axis. I kinda miss this thing. It was my only guitar for 5 years per I was broke and had to do the best with what I had. I would buy another for 200 bucks. Only thing I would change would be the nut and the trem bar to a Ibanez Edge. Possibly a single coil in the middle position.

This guitar is either a '93 or '94 model. It has a nice sunburst finish over a flamed, arched top. It is a 24 fret guitar with some funky sharktooth inlays. It has two active humbuckers, and a Vester Floyd Rose double-locking trem. It has metal plates covering the trem strings, and electronics in the back with brass inlays for the screws. It also came with a strap lock on the front.

I play mostly rock and blues, and the guitar is well suited to all but the heaviest tunes. It has a low tone very similar to a les paul. The sound is very rich and smooth. I like the tone, but it's very difficult to get any sparkle or highs out of the guitar. I rarely use the neck pickup because both the bridge+neck and the neck only positions are too low and muddy sounding.
All in all, it sounds great, but it's not very versatile.

This guitar is very playable. Vester created a very unobtrusive neck-to-body heel which makes playing the upper end of the fretboard almost a breeze. The real downfall of this guitar, however, is the bridge. The Vester bridge is a poor attempt at a Floyd Rose. I have trouble with the high E string shifting position, and the action is entirely too stiff.

This axe has held up quite well (with the exception of the bridge). The only part I have replaced is the volume pot.

This was a decent guitar for what I paid. My only complaints are the bridge and its lack of versatility.
