I've just bought this JUMBO ELECTRIC-ACCOUSTIC guitar second-hand for only AU$400 with hard case, in near new condition. Not sure how old, expect 3-7 years. It was made in Korea, and it's body dimensions are length- 20 in. (51 cm), width of lower bout, 17 in.(43 cm), depth 45/8 in. (11.5 cm).
It has 20 frets, & is non-cutaway.
The top is solid and appears to be of high-grade (close-grained) spruce, and the back and sides of a nice quilted wood- maple? The neck and head look like mahogany, and the fretboard and bridge look like rosewood. The gloss finish is excellent, with bindings and soundhole decoration nicely done, the latter in mother-of-pearl. The position dots, a rose inlay above the 12th fret, and the name "Vester" and model, "Tradition" are in MOP inlay on the headstock. The "Gotoh" tuners are gold with gold-orange buttons.
The strings are fastened at the bridge by their ball ends; there are no pins.
The bottom strap button is also the output jack for a pickup that is, I'd guess, under the saddle. All sound controls are made at the amp, as there are no controls on the guitar.

The tone is a real deep, rich jumbo style, with a bright treble, enhanced with an amp

The action is low, and nice to play. I haven't found any flaws yet.
Reliability/Durability

I have not had it long, but see no reason why it would not be suitable for performing without a backup guitar.
Customer Support
:
No Opinion
I believe the Vester firm in Korea has closed down. However any repairs could be done by any competent luthier.

I have been playing guitar for 35 years, so should know when I come across a good one! I have two other electric- accoustics, a Yamaha l APX-7 & a Takamine AN10, which are nowhere as good as the Vester VJ. I think this is a great guitar, worth 4-5 times more. I love it because it looks, plays, and sounds so very nice indeed- especially country style music, with a split-off bass. If anyone reading this has a chance of buying one, I'd say grab it! You'll probably get a bargain since it's an obscure make & not being made anymore, but if you are after a jumbo accoustic at a hot price, you can't go wrong with one of these!
