Well can do a lot on this guitar, but for shredding look elswhere.
Using it on different amps, mostly Peavey classic 50/ Fender Vibroverb tube amps or Gallien Krueger tranny 250 RL with 2 additional Celestion speakers.
Very quiet guitar.......other pickups, nonsense...Collector since '70-s. had over 400 guitars ( yes idiots exist, had it all from vintage till new) and I was also surprised of the build and play quality of this guitar.
Dislikes : none, or it must be that I have to file down the bridge adjusting screws a bit, but that I do with all strat type guitarbridges, hate sharp edges.

Playing since 46 years...too many guitars still..selling now. Collecting guitars was ( is ) fun, but can need some x-tra monry for my pension now. Better investment than wallstreet papers !!
Selling all my vintage gear and collect good cheapo's to play on.
If this one broke down I look for another one.Maybe a bit more difference between the single coil and humbucker rollon/rolloff sound.
Although on a clean amp you cn clearly hear the difference.

Strat-style guitar
25.5 inches/648 mm Scale, 22 Frets
Three stacked P90 Humbucker pickups utilizing a RollOff control (a potentiometer) to convert the Humbuckers to single coil.
5 way pickup selector.
Sound
:5
The Humberbucker to Single Coil Rolloff control had no effect on the sound between the 0 to 8 settings, there was a slight difference heard between the 8 to 10 settings. This was confirmed by third parties.
Measuring the resistance at the output jack suggested a fault in the wiring or pickups.
Overall the sound was inferior to that of my other double Humbucker guitar costing almost half the price.
The difference in sound between the three pickups was not very noticeable.
I can also confirm the first reviewer's opinion that the guitar was noisy, it made a cracking noise when the strings were touched and produced bad hum when placed anywhere near the amp.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:6
The action as supplied was a little high, but OK. The guitar had scratches between the pickups, on the pickups and around the tone controls. The frets were rough edged, and there was slight flaw in the paintwork.
Apart from the problems with the finish, the guitar felt very well balanced, well screwed together and nice to play. I would have been very happy to own it.
Reliability/Durability

This was a very solid guitar and felt like it could take a few knocks without damage.
Having received a faulty example I am concerned about the reliability

The distributer provided no advice or support and quickly passed the buck to the supplier. There was no response to my suggestions that their quality control might be improved. So 0/10 for them.
After a number of emails with no response, the supplier phoned and offered a solution, so 8/10 for them.
Hence average 4/10

Reading the two previous reviews was a puzzle, one good, one bad.
Bearing in mind my own experience, I can only conclude that this is possibly a very good guitar which has quality control problems.
So don't buy online, buy from dealer where you can physically check out the guitar, and check out the Rolloff control works.

Bought this on spec for 189GBP - I have about 20 other guitars - Strats, G&L, Line 6 Variax, Gibson J200 etc. None of them are red or have stacked P90s...
I really had no idea what this would sound like. Contrary to the other review here it sounds very much like a Strat - I have five (mine and others) to compare it to, and (with the P90s rolled to single coil, through a Fender amp) it sounds closest to my bandmate's custom shop, 'distressed' 60's alike model. With the humbucking rolled on it sounds like a warmer version of the same - close to a Les Paul Junior in some ways, but still 'Fendery'. For country/rockabilly/surf type playing it's one of the best guitars I've got - my other 'best' in this category a JazzMaster with Jason Lollar replacement pickups. To put this in perspective the pickups on that cost more than this entire guitar.
I'm using it with a Fender Champ, a Sheldon TrueTone 3 handwired valve amp and a Tech 21 Trademark 60 combo. I don't use many effects, just a DL4 delay modeller - I can get a great violin/cello sound on the swell setting. I record into Sonar Producer with a variety of interfaces including Line 6 and Focusrite. Sounds are clear and fine. I think that compared to the JazzMaster it needs a small amount of compression to even out the levels, but that's about it. If you like Dick Dale you'll love this guitar... I'm giving it a ten because I've spent a small fortune on guitars, quite a lot on set-up and customization and this is easily the most fun I've had out-of-the-box with a guitar. No-one is more surprised than me.

The set-up was OK, but I'll probably have it set-up professionally as I'd like heavier strings than those that it came with. The pickups are no problem - I'm guessing that the other reviewer either a) Just got a bad example b) uses a lot of distortion - any guitar with P90s has more buzz than a humbucker, but rolling off the single coils would have fixed that or c) just doesn't like the sound that this kind of guitar is bound to have. I have a G&L ASAT with their version of a P90 and the tonality is similar to this on single coils settings and the noise level is greater.
The top shows some corners cut - the body has not been filled so the grain of the wood shows through the paint job. In these days of pre-distressed guitars I can't get excited about this. I could just hit it about a bit and have a 'relic'. I will replace the control knobs which are a bit crap.
The actual construction of the guitar is better than some guitars more expensive than this - the neck is well set up, the nut is fine and the action is great for me, but I think some would like it lower. The actuall pots and controls have no niggles at all - a real surprise at this price. Tuning - with vibrato - is VERY stable, a tribute to Mr Wilkinson

I think this guitar might well survive a small explosion: a potential downside, already mentioned by friends (I'm large, so no problems for me) is the weight - it's about half way between Strat and Les Paul weight, so quite heavy. I'd use it on a gig without a backup - apart from anything else those Wilkinson WJ05 E-Z-Lok Tuners make string changing very much faster than on a Fender. See my comments above about finish etc.

Playing for 40 years: some of my gear is listed above, the rest just seems like showing off. I've got a lot of stuff... If it were lost I'd buy another. Truth is I'm thinking of buying another anyway in Laguna Blue. I'm scared they'll stop making them. Just fun to play and has a sound that I can only call 'authentic'. Makes me realise why some people love Strats so much (I love JazzMasters, but that's another story). This has made me seriously consider looking at designer Trevor Wilkinson's 'upmarket' Fret King range for my next guitar. It's also made me consider offloading 'better' guitars that I don't like as much. I think this guitar is a real innovation with the stacked humbuckers, and I realize the sound will NOT be to everyone's taste. I like a clean sound, and this goes from glacial to warm - a bit like a JazzMaster in some ways, but way more Strat-like. If you think this kind of guitar would appeal to you, try it out, ignore the name on the headstock, and try and park your preconceptions about what it 'should' sound like. I'm giving it a 10 because at this price it's a steal...
