This Guitar was made in 2001 but I got it in 2002.I am not sure were it was made.It Has 22 frets and block inlays. It has a laminated top and it is a wonderful cherry sunburst colour. The Body is made of mahogany and it has an alder top.the neck is maple and the fingerboard is rosewood. The bridge is the standard tune-o-matic style and it has no whammy bar.The neck is thin and it has jumbo frets.I Bought this guitar on its own without any accessories but i didnt need any as i already had all the equipment becuse i had been playing for several years.

It Suits my music style very well ( I mainly play heavy rock, metal and grunge) I can get all sorts of different sounds and tones withe the twin humbuckers. The pick-ups are seymour duncan Seth Lover models and i know this because being the stupid person i am,on the first day i had it i replaced the strings with some exspensive decent ones and in the process took out one of the pick-ups to reveal the seymour duncan name and model number.I use a laney linebacker amp with it and by messing with the controls on both the amp and guitar i can get very decent sounds out of it ranging from vintage tinnie tones to heavy meety tones! It is not noisy on any of the settings and the sounds are always bright and full.I use the zoom gfx 707 and the boss gt3 with this guitar and the effects are amazing especially on the bridge pick-up.

The Guitar was set up fairly well at the factory but it did have a slight fret buzz on the 6th e string but a small adjustment to the bridge soon sorted it out,and anyway all guitars make fret buzz sometimes even the real gibsons! My next door neighbour owns a gibson les paul and this does have fret buzz. The pick-ups were nicely set up and i have not had to alter them at all.The only flaw i have ever noticed on this guitar is the neck joint to the body, there is a slight gap but this is only visible if you look very closely at it and it does not impare the action of the guitar at all.Yet again the real gibsons have gaps sometimes.

I have never gigged this guitar because i love it too much to let it get wrecked but i know that it would withstand being gigged. The hardware seems like it will last and so does the finish. The strap buttons are solid and have never let me down, the only thing that let me doen once was a very old strap which had been worn out,the holes were so big that the guitar only held on to it by luck but the luck ran out and it fell from me to the floor.this accident only made a small scuff mark on the underside of the guitar near the jack socket.I can depend on this guitar and i would never need a backup.

I have been playing for 5 years and also own an encore strat but it isnt original because i got it from a mate who was going to bin it so i took it off his hands and i am currently re spraying it neon green! i have also taken the logo off the head and replaced it with the name "Hoppo custom". If my les paul was stolen i would definately without hesitation get another one and i love everything about it.I compared it to the epiphone les paul and apart from the logo on the head i couldnt see a difference.they were about the same weight (4kg or therabouts) and they both sounded good.the thing that made me buy the vintage was the mellower and clearer sound the price difference and the action on it was better. Please (as the man in the other review said ) dont go out and buy an epiphone just because of the link to gibson becuase with a vintage you get a better guitar and a lot better decent price for what you get.

Fixed neck which is good for a copy lp at this price. Two humbuckers. Gold hardware. Block inlays. Full kneck and body binding. 22 Frets. Think its laminated, dont quote me on that! Typical les paul style bodt. Tobaco sunburst. Looks almost identical. Stop tail piece. No whammy bar.

I play mainly rock grunge punk some blues. Sabbeth, guns and roses, black label society. Blink, NOFX etc. The neck humbucker gives great clean toan but for distortion bridge humbucker is great. Very impressed with the tone and quality. You can get amazing distortion.
I use a behringer 30w amp in conjunction with this guitar. It gives very little feedback. If the treble is too high i get a bit but not too bad. Great with distortion and pedals. Seems to eliminate the noise but dont ask me why. I use an ibanez tube screamer distortion pedal. Always. Very versitile sounds. Does quite a bit. Everything you would expect from a real LP! Fell in love with this instantly. Squeezes every last drop of tone from any amp. Also used with a marshall 30w similar perfermance.

Set up is great. Very low low low low low action. Only been playing two years found slight fret buzz. Bridge is easily adjustable so i sorted that in ten minutes. This guitar looks the biz. My uncle owns a gibson and apart from the logo's they are identicle. No flaws. Gold hardware is lush. Neck joint is a tighter fit than a runners underpants. Spot on. Couldnt slide a nats dick between the joints.

This guitar is reliable. Dont get any tuning trouble or string breakage. Tones are consistent. Very chunky feel. Taped edges. Strap buttons are ok although its worth upgrading to locking especially for energetic performances. Does anyone play live without backup? The answer is yes. Me and this guitar. My only backup if things get ugly is my bassist.(He's 6ft3')

Dealt with a few firms but these were great. Fast reliable and it came in one piece. Free set up. Cant be bad. Love it to bits. It aint perfect but it beats any epiphone hands down. Plaese dont chose an eppy just because of that marginal link with gibson cause this out prices and out performs them. Any copy at this price usually has a dodgy bolt on neck. Only thing is this guitar is heavy. No heavier than gibson LP's though. I used to play a squire strat that was really light.
