the pick ups are great for most styles such as rock, blues and metal theve got a tone range which relly livens your amp. i use a peavy 119 and zoom effects board it does sound pretty great. it has a slit buzz from the pick ups but thats notrhing to worry about and it sounds great both on clean and with drive, it has a rich hard core sound which sounds brilliant. it has a lot of variaty with the sound but i preffer it on drive and on metal. my likes on this guitar are the quality of the hardware such as the floyd rose locking and arm and it has a beautiful colour on it the neck is a beauty to play its smooth and thin and the shark fins and head stock finish it off the only concern is the pick ups but there not too bad

Bought in 2003.Made in Indonesia for JHS. Pearl white metallic finish. One volume control and one tone control with a five way switch for the two single coils and bridge humbucker.I'm not sure what the body is made of but the neck is Maple with a glued on Rosewood fingerboard. The guitar is a superstrat Jackson/Kramer shape with cool droopy, pointed headstock. It has a LICENSED Floyd Rose bridge. This isn't like the normal good quality licensed Floyds, this is horrible! It never stays in tune no matter what. The tuners are unmarked Schaller style. The neck is in between fat and thin and lovely to play.

I'm a huge Bon Jovi fan,Richie Sambra being my hero so I bought this because it looked sort of like his Kramer model but it don't play like it. I use it through a Morley Wah,a Zoom 505,a Danelectro talkbox into a Peavey Studio Pro amp.The bridge humbucker is very trebly compared to my Squier Stagemaster so I get feedback before I even play. Not a bad sound from it though it could be a bit more powerfull. Not a bad overall sound from guitar. I like the fact it is like a budget Kramer and has a "Floyd Rose". I don't like the fact the "Floyd Rose" is cr@p.

The guitar was nicely set up when I bought it but since I set it up, it plays even nicer. The pickups aren't very powerfull but then again, its a budget guitar. The bridge routing is ok but has a sharp edge to it and funny black "padding"? which isn't applied very well.
The funniest thing about this guitar is the fact it has a tone control. From day 1 mine hasn't worked. At the time, I didn't know too much about guitar "anatomy" so I just left it alone but then I opened up the back to find it hadn't even been soldered, just wrapped around the pot!!!!!!!

I would use this guitar at a live gig but only as a last resort. The hardware is good but I can't get it to stay in tune(I've gone so far as taking the bridge totally apart bit by bit and adjusting the intonation but nothing has worked). The strap buttons seem strong enough that I'd trust them.I wouldn't dream of having no backup guitar at a gig because I just couldn't depend on this one.

I'm sixteen and have been playing three years and own five guitars including a Yamaha Nylon Acoustic,an Aria rounback Acoustic,an 80's Squier Superstrat(original Floyd Rose),my favourite,a white Squier Stagemaster and my Vintage VJ6. I wish I had asked one question before I bought it,"what else have you got?"If it were stolen I would be annoyed because I'm selling it to pay for a black "Peavey Vandenberg Model".It is a fine beginners guitar but if you know anything about guitars you might steer clear. If you know about upgrades then you might just have a knew hobby.

The sound is great, lots of sustain but the lack of tone lets it down a bit. The buzz from the pick-ups lets it down too, but I replaced mine so theres not much trouble there. The guitar has a very versatile sound anything from blues to heavy metal.

I play mostly grunge and rock and the guitar is well suited to these styles, in fact it can even give a nice blues sound at the neck or a hard metal sound. The sound is let down by crappy pick ups but thats to be expected from the price paid. The guitar was set up fine. the strings were nice and close to the neck and everything was secure enough. The Floyd Rose tremolo was a big let down, even gentle touches knock the guitar out of tune.

The guitar is fine for live playing once you change the pick ups and the bridge. Everthing seems nice and solid and the finish looks new after a year and a half. The strap buttons are solid but i still use locks. It's never let me down and i've used it in a few gigs for haevy songs. I would gig with it without back up, but I never gig without backup.

I've been playing 3 years, been with a band for a year and a half. I play it through a boss MD2 and an Aria Pro2 multi fx. I use either a Fender Deluxe or Behringer Ultratwin amp and the sound is pretty good. My other guitars are a Jag Stang and a Pacifica and this guitar wouldn't be my number one. I love the sustain from it but theres a lack of tone and it sounds quite dull. If it was stolen I think i'd replace it with one of the Vintage Les Paul copies.

Made somewhere in Asia and distributed in the UK through John Hornby Skewes. 24 frets, 648mm scale, "Super Strat" style solid maple body with Pearl White Metallic finish (also available in Gun Metal Sparkle), maple neck and "Jackson" style headstock, rosewood fretboard with sharktooth inlay, all black hardware. S/S/H pickup configuration (of unknown Asian origin no doubt), 1 volume, 1 tone and 5 way blade type selector. Original Floyd Rose double locking bridge (not great - similar to the Ibanez Lo-TRS) - bar fastens in with a locking nut, not the less effective screw in type. This guitar has "Jackson clone" written all over it, which is no bad thing for a guitar in this price bracket. Came with 2 Allen keys, neither of which were the correct size to loosen the locking nuts and one of which is too large to fit anything, so points are lost for this sloppiness.

I play a wide variety of music but mostly soft rock through to metal. The sound was a lot better than I was expecting. There is more than adequate sustain and the pickups gave a lovely full tone when clean and a satisfying growl with distortion - harmonics sound great during solos. There is some buzz from the single coils (but don't they all) and they may be a lower output than many would want. Don't get me wrong, they're far from perfect but they are definitely better than I was expecting. I was originally planning on putting in a Dimarzio Tone Zone and a couple of their higher output single coils like the Fast Track 1, and whilst the stock pickups aren't good enough to put me off doing these modifications, they are certainly good enough to put off the urgency.

This is where this guitar will lose a few points. Action was perfect, the strings are very low even at the top frets and there is no string buzz at all. Tuning was very difficult at first but there seemed to be too much play in the bridge so I tightened the tension adjustment screws a touch and this helped considerably. It now stays in tune reasonably well even with aggressive divebombs and the intonation was perfect. To be fair, the strings are obviously brand new and tuning difficulties aren't exactly unusual with new strings on a Floyd Rose guitar. The finish to this guitar leaves a lot to be desired. The bridge cavity has been filled with some tar-like black paint which would look great if it had been applied properly. Unfortunately though, they managed to get some paint over the white body as well which will need cleaning up. The edges to the routing are very rough as are the edges to the back cavities. The back cavaties also contained crap from the drilling and routing which hadn't been cleaned out. The fret board was generally OK, but there is a imperfection up at the 24th fret on the top side which doesn't look very good. The 22nd fret also seemed to have a small amount of glue spilled on it - no great problem, but again a sign of sloppiness. The neck doesn't seem to sit properly in the body as there is a slight gap and the neck seems to have been put on at a slight angle. This is no real problem and has probably be caused by the use of shims between the neck and the body which I will sort out myself when I give the guitar a service. The neck and headstock are surprisingly excellent when you consider the lack of quality control over the body finish. The neck is very smooth and easy to play fast and feels not too dissimilar to my Ibanez RG770 which is a real achievement when you consider the price difference between the two.

I have only had this guitar for a couple of days and so can't make any real assumptions about its long term reliability and durability. The hardware seems to be evenly finished, but I would always have a certain amount of concern over these less expensive Floyd Rose bridges. Strap buttons are small and need replacing for added security. I would be happy enough to gig with this guitar, but wouldn't dream of ever playing a gig without backup and there is nothing about this guitar that would inspire enough confidence to change my opinion on this. I will be using this either as a second backup, or tuned differently for certain songs and I am quite confident from my early experiences to rely on it for these tasks.

Never used them and have no intention of doing so. Any problems this guitar has will be sorted out by me so I know it'll be a good job.

I am 29 years old, have been playing guitar for 20 years and have 4 other guitars, a Gibson Les Paul Standard, an Ibanez RG770FM, a Jackson PS4 and a custom modified 7 string Les Paul made out of the Epiphone body but with complete hardware overhaul and Dimarzio pickups. This is certainly the lowest quality of the lot (which was as expected) but definitely has potential to be a fine instrument with a little TLC. I bought it really because I liked the colour, like sharkfin inlays and thought it was worth a risk at the price. I play these guitars through a number of amps, but most often in my practise room through a Peavey Bandit 112 and a Zoom GFX-4 effects processor.
Overall, there is nothing wrong with this guitar that I can't sort out myself. I plan on cleaning the black paint specs off the body, cleaning up the edges and routings of the cavities, fitting Dimarzio's and properly setting the neck. After this work is done it will be a pretty good guitar and well worth the low cost. I'm certainly happy enough, but this definitely isn't for someone who doesn't want to make improvements him (or her) self or for someone who wants perfection "out of the box".
