I was a bit nervous in trying this guitar out as I had never played a Vintage guitar before. When I took it home for a try out my first impressions were, wow this axe does sound nice. Second time I brought it home I was more impressed with it. By the way I now own this guitar. Its a Les Paul Junior copy with one P-90 in the bridge position. She's got 22 frets and all playable in between. All the parts are Wilkinson so it has good stuff on it. Finish is as good as any Gibson I have owned and I have owned a few. It has a set neck which I like. All around I am inpressed with this guitar and it sits proudly beside my 1966 Custom Shop Strat and can hold its on very admirably. I am so impressed with it I have ordered there version of the 1957 Gold Top with P-90's bridge and neck position.

Sound : 10
Like I said it has a P-90 in the bridge position and I play it through my Marshall Super 100 JH..thank you very much.I like to have just a tad of hair on my sound and with the P-90 it just does that very well and I do not crank my Marshall to acheive the sound I like. The tone switch is actually very usefull and when you bring in more of a treble sound your bottom end stays where it is and I like that very much. I like to move lots of air when I play and this guitar does it beautifully. Remember I have the Super 100 JH and that helps also. The sound is very full and throaty with hair. It may need a real Gibson Les Paul bridge system but will look at that in time see how the intonation holds up. So far there is nothing I dislike about this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I am amazed oh how this guitar came from the factory. Its perfect nothing wrong with it. Pick it up and play. Tunes easy, and guess what stays in tune also. The action was first rate and the neck is fast. Watch out Gibson do not take your eyes off this maker Vintage. I have been a snob on what I have played for a long time and I have missed out on some very beautifull guitars and great prices and Vintage is one of them. Can hardly wait till my Vintage V100GT gets here. If its anything like the VR100CR I will be in heaven.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I can not see this guitar doing any job and having problems. Its a quality piece and love the finish on it. Like I said have owned a few Gibson products and I remember one of them did not come close to this guitar especially in fit and finish. Would take this guitar any where and not bring a back up.....well maybe the V100GT Gold Top with P-90's in it just because I can.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Have never delt with them.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing on and off for many years and have owned a pile of great gear. This guitar can hold its own and then some and it is better than some of the ones I did own. So if I was Gibson I would take a good look at what you put out and wonder why Vintage can make such a good product and cost so much less and your products are not much better and the price is so way to expensive.
