This is a 24 fret guitar, and mine has a whale blue finish which looks quite excellent. The guitar is a copy of the #6,000 PRS CE 22 guitar, and the body is a kind of mix between strat style and les paul style. The finish i got on it (whale blue) hadn't been in production long and looks much better than the cherryburst version in my opinion. There are two humbucker pickups, and there is one volume control, 3-way pickup selector and a tone control. Arguably the best feature and one that not many people know is that the tone control can be pulled outwards to create a single-coil type sound like that of the strat, great for solos or Jimi Hendrix style songs. The bridge is Tune-O-Matic and included with the guitar i received a gig bag and a cable, although this was only to do with where i bought the guitar from (thanks Dawsons!!). The features alone would make me pay twice as much as i did, because there is a full spectrum of tones that the guitar can deliver.

Sound : No Opinion
Any sound you want and this guitar will deliver, from the thin and striking tones of a strat through to the deep warmth of a les paul, if you play around with your amp settings (you need a decent amp to fully appreciate it) and tone settings it will deliver. I play in a band and we do Rock and Metal music, and no matter what we play the guitar can produce a tone to get the job done. I was amazed that my Ibanez wh10 wah pedal sounded just as good on this guitar as on my strat. My setup at the moment is :- Vintage VRS100 - Boss DS2 Turbo Distortion pedal - Boss PH2 Phaser pedal - Ibanez wh10 wah pedal - Marshall MG30DFX (although during gigs i use my schools 100 watt amp, sounds great on both). Distortion isnt as great as i would have hoped, it sounds too noisy on the higher settings, but if you use low gain and high volume and then just tweak it then you should get the effect you want. I have to give it 10 again because the best thing about this guitar (apart from the price) is the variety of tones, from a warm full sound to a bright strat type sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Obviously this is a cheap factory guitar, but considering this the guitar is extremely well built. The finish is superb, the action is low as i like it, no problems with the bridge, the selector switch and tone and volume controls were not lose as i have had before (although they arent brilliant quality). The only real flaw is the final fret is positioned wrong and so the sound is flat. But i dont really care to be honest because ive never used more than 23 frets on a guitar anyway! There were absolutely no flaws in the finish, and a lot of detail is paid to incidental features such as the V on the fretboard which i was really pleased to see. The whole guitar is very well built and the finish doesnt scratch every second like my strat. I have to give it a 9 because of the wrong positioned fret though, because if it had been one of the lower frets i would have been in trouble!

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
This guitar is extremely reliable, ive gigged it 6 times so far and it easily withstands live playing. All the hardware is good quality so i expect it to last, the finish doesnt wear down easily and i feel as though i can depend on it. I wouldnt use it without a backup because from experience thats not generally a good idea, i always have a backup guitar if im performing more than one song. But thats just me not the guitar. I read one review that said the strap buttons werent very good, but ive found no problems with them, they are metal and well screwed in place.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never used it, but the shop i bought it from was helpful.

Overall Rating : 10
Ive been playing for just over a year, and i also own a squier stratocaster, which is pathetic in comparison. Before buying this guitar my main worry was if the tone would cover all/most of the songs i play. It does. With the addition of the pull out tone knob which creates a single coil thin sound the guitar really does cover all ranges of tone, and i dont have to use my strat and my vintage, i just use the vintage. If it were stolen, lost or damaged i would race down to the store and buy another immediately before they realise how good it is and put the price up. I love the price (of course!), the range of tones and the look - when playing live it really looks the part, the finish is excellent. The only thing that would make this guitar better would be if it could play the songs on its own. I'd like that!!

24 frets, 1 volume 2 tone, 2 humbuckers, maple top w/ set neck. really nice looking cherry sunburst finish.

Sound : 10
i mostly play rock/blues through a peavy 10 watt practise amp. i have played a real prs through my very same amp, but this guitar (believe it or not) is better sounding.
when played clean, it has a rich and warm tone, which is perfect for my style of music.
when played with distortion, it's full, and bass + treble are perfectly balanced. using the coil tap switch and the tone controls, tons of different sounds can be achieved.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
the action is just fine. perfect, in fact. on this guitar i can execute spot on shreds and bends - it feels like this guitar was made for me.
the pickups, as mentioned earlier, are quite astounding although i have no idea what make they are. i wouldn't for one second consider replacing them.
the finish is flawless. it looks and feels like a real prs, what with the light reflecting off it and all.
the only thing i'd change about this guitar is the controls; the original ones are fine, but i'm soon going to take it one step closer to being a prs by putting real prs controls on it.

Reliability/Durability : 10
i have already gigged this guitar 3 times. i have to say that this is the best guitar i've ever gigged - even better than my fender strat. the hardware is built to last. the strap buttons are fine aswell. i really do trust this guitar, even though i do have my fender strat as a backup (you never know, anything could happen - strings can be broken, as on any guitar.)

its truly amazing. if i was the guy who decided on the vrs100's price, i'd probably have said #600 at least.
come to think of it, this review might be a bit over the top (10 for everything), but hey that's just my opinion.
so, if you dont want it, dont buy it.
but, if you only have a maximum of #250 to spend, and really like prs guitars, then i say go for it.

Two humbuckers (tapped) one tone push/pull for coil tap one volume, three way selector switch. Floating trem gold hardware. 24 fret neck neck. Maple top set neck. Finish was a bit poor but okay. I t cut it and its now great. Tremrlo routing was out, I trimmed it back and now its okay.

Its a PRS copy

Sound : 10
Unbranded humbers both coil tapped. Open coils with cermaic magnets. All the sounds you could expect from cermaic pickups.Coil taps work well. Nice sonding guitar, bright but not brittle. Has an almost trasprant sound to it. Before I bought it I was going to get som alnico humbers for it but after playing it a couple of days I'm thinking of sticking with the stock pickups.

I've had at stage volume clean and dirt through a home made valve amp and there are no problems with the sound what so ever.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Action was spot on from the shop. Some minor problems with trem routing, fixed in about 5 mins. Finish was okay but I cut it back and now its fine.

Silly thing like over spray on finger board in places. Build up of finish on end of fret board. It took all in all about a hour to sort out with a string change.

Pots and selector seem a bit cheap but I'll change them in due course.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I'll change the selector and pots but thats it. The neck is great fretting is spot on, but there finish isn't. Quick polish and now there great too. I would gig this with out a doubt.

Gold finish on hardware, I'll have to wait to see how it fars up

been playing for 16 years, for the money this guitar is 100% a bargin.
I would be happy to pay extra and the extra to have a shop sort out the silly problems. The neck is the best point on thhe guitar and next the sound. I have a strat and a tele and would rank this baby up there with them.

If the silly problems were sorted out before they hit the shops, you would be paying around #500 to #650 for this kind of thing

24 frets,twin humbuckers,gold hardware,maple neck and body,flame
maple top,grover tuners,vintage two-pivot vibrato bridge.These are
made in Korea,I think.

Sound : 9
Sounds bloody amazing for a guitar this price, both clean and distorted
sounds are good, the neck humbucker is clear enough for a good solo
sound and the bridge pickup screams.Very responsive and classy
sound. There's coil taps too,so you can get a lot of sounds.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
It was set up well, but there's some slight blemishes in the finish, the fretting's a bit crummy in places, and I had to replace the first fret as it was too low, causing choking.I'm not complaining at
all, these cheap production line guitars almost always need some work
straight out of the box,but other specimens might be a lot better.I bought it simply because it sounded brilliant and played really well
despite these shortcomings.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Looks very solid, good materials, strap buttons are a bit small though.
I'm quite happy gigging with it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't needed it.

Overall Rating : 10
Considering the price,I have to give this guitar a 10 rating,it's got
to be one of the best bargains ever.I've rewired the pickups to give
individual "coil taps" (in fact, they're now wired so the h/b coils
are parallel when tapped, therefore still humbucking),and added locking
tuners. It plays and sounds like a dream, simply one of the nicest guitars I've ever played, and I've played loads :) It sounds very classy,it's one of the few guitars I haven't felt like replacing
the pickups on.Certainly worth twice the price or more. And it looks
gorgeous too,the best-looking guitar I've owned!
