Alnico pickups and fixed string through bridge make for bright vintage tones. This guitar does what it was supposed to do.

This guitar feels as solid as a rock. The pickup switch seems to get a little noisy when not used for a while. The input jack locks on tight and the guitar has never failed me.

I have been playing 20 plus years, and own many other guitars and amps. This guitar is a very hard to find, cool, addition to my collection. I'm glad I have one and would not sell it. Fantastic value for a quality American made guitar. The VOX body shapes are an aquired taste

I just purchased a "new" VOX Mark III Custom "Brian Jones" model guitar. Even though the guitar was made in the USA, I bought it from a store in England. I had to actively "hunt" for this guitar and got very lucky. The original manufacturer's suggested retail price was $1,200. I got this one, with case, for $669. This guitar is very well made and there has been very good attention to paid to fit, finish and quality. The neck is maple and the front of the headstock is painted white to match the body. The neck is rosewood and of good quality. All hardware is first class. My guitar arrived with a straight neck and fingerboard. I put on new strings and tuned it up. It was adjusted just right for me -- low with no buzzing. It plays extremely well. The pickguard is chrome, which is exactly like Brian Jones' prototype VOX. No other VOX had a chrome pickguard. Controls are more than adequate -- plenty of adjustment for the 2 pickups. This is a first-class, professional guitar and the problems which plagued the original VOX (especially the Italian EKO VOXes) have been eliminated. I would play this guitar in front of anyone or any group of people with pride.

I have a Marshall Valvestate amp and the guitar sounds great through this. Reverb and plenty of treble produce those familiar sounds of the British Invasion. The songs of the 60s sound just like they are supposed to. F.Y.I., I am using Gibson Les Paul Vintage Reissue VR-9 strings (.009 through .042)and these work great. Plenty of tone and volume adjustment is available.

The guitar is just perfectly set up for me. Truss rod adjustment is very easy and you don't even have to remove an access plate! The bridge is extremely easy to adjust. Each string has its own bridge and can be adjusted backward and forward for proper 12th fret intonation. I found no flaws in the guitar and I feel all materials are first class.

Like all my guitars, I take good care of this one. I have no reason to think it won't last me a lifetime and keep going. It is solid and no-nonsense. Very reliable.

Korg supposedly contracted somebody to make this guitar. They are no longer made. I should have no problem maintaining it myself and in fixing anything that needs fixing.

I've been playing guitar for 38 years and own several top-of-the line guitars (i.e., Rickenbacker 360-12, Gibson ES-335, Martin D12-18, etc.) I've played professionally and for fun. I would not sell this guitar -- unless I received an unbeliveably high price, such as $10,000 or more. I'm serious. It's a pretty guitar and plays well. I had once owned a VOX Mark IV almost like my new one but sold it. This is a "nostalgic" and collectible guitar -- being a true copy of the one His Majesty Brian Jones played with the Rolling Stones!!!

I believe this guitar was made in' 99/USA. Maple neck and maybe an ash body. I'm not going in to the rest of it, Every guitar player should be familiar with a Vox teardrop. The case is very cool.

I play basic rock&roll. I've only played this guitar thru various Fender 2-12 combos(Twin Reverb,Stage160 etc)and it sounds suprisingly well. It has a rich bright sound, tho I might have the tone pot changed to something more interesting. It works well with full out reverb and delays and likes compression. Try it with an EQ'd Boss OD-3. Forget the hard distortion, it was'nt made for that.

As I bought this guitar used,I don't how well it arrived from the factory, but Parkway did a great low action setup with no trouble. Other than the saddles-which suck big time and should be changed(you should'nt have shim the neck)the guitar is put together very well. I've been told this an exact copy of the original.

I would definetly gig with this guitar. but not without backups-who would? Strap buttons are solid-no need for locks. It has a mirrored pick guard that reflects gel light great-but is starting to show pick scratches. I don't know yet if they can be buffed out.

I own a US Strat, LP(my all time favorite) and a few other run of the mill guitars, but nothing sounds or looks like a Vox teardrop. I would be really pissed if somebody stole it and would try to replace it. It's a very cool guitar to throw into the mix.
