Very surf like, although a variety of sounds can be produced. Reminds me a little of a Fender Coronado except the sound is clearer or purer. Not much noise for a single coil, cxan feedback as it is a true hollowbody -- no block of wood down the middle. For old style rock, Beach Boys, Beatles, this guitar is hard to beat
Action, Fit, & Finish

For a 38 year old guitar, action, setup, intonation, relief etc is great. Only complaint is the finish is applied very thick, and tends to crack with age. Love the zero fret like is used on some Gretsch guitars. Nice and unique case also.

In line with the previous comments, obviously it is built to last

They quit making guitars nearly 30 years ago.

Have been playing for over 40 years. Have owned several hundred guitars over the years as I have bought, repaired and resold guitars since the late 80's to help support the habit. Currently own 2 Gibsons, 2 PRS's, 4 Fenders, 1 Gretsch, 2 Martins, plus a Guild, G&L, Vox, Dobro, Deering and Warwick. Have a 66 Deluxe Reverb and 70 Super Reverb plus SWR Cal Blonde and Workingman 12 amps. The Vox is one of my favorites, along with 2 of the Fenders (a JD Tele and Strat Ultra) and a Gretsch G6122JR. Besides being a super player, it just has good vibes -- reminds an old fart like me of being 15 years old and blaring away with Pipeline or Johnny B. Goode. If lost or stolen, I doubt if I could find one in the same condition, but I would sure try.
