Features : 10
I got this guitar in the wrong finish, but that's music123s fault, not Washburn's.

Finish: Quilted brown
Body Style: Carved-top superstrat
Bridge: Tune-o-matic
Tuners: Grover 18-1 ratio locking
Neck: Not quite fat or thin, thinner than a schecter, but comfortable and unbelievably fast. It also seems a little wider than some, but that might just be me. EXCELLENTLY filed jumbo frets which oxidized in shipping/at the warehouse. I think it's a 25.5 scale, but I'm not sure.
Accesories: Cable and allen wrench
Year: If last 2 numbers in serial number are year, then 1997 (!!!) that would explain the dry fretboard. Ordered in July 2006...made VERY NICELY in Korea
Frets: 24
Body is solid mahogany, top is most likely laminated with a 1/16 quilted maple veneer on top.
Controls: 1 volume and 1 tone, 3 way selector, coil tap, in nice nickel knobs.
Pups: H/H Seymour duncan SH1 '59 reissue in the neck and custom custom in the bridge.
(passive)
Neck is also mahogany with a very unique joint; it feels just like nek-thrus.

Sound : 9
Having only played a year and only havin g tried this guitar quietly on my marshall mg15cdr, I am not in a good position to comment on sound. However, I will say that the difference truly is night and day between this and my old encore strat copy. I thought the encore was quiet, but this thing is silent (except for when you play it). The sound was a little brighter than I expected for a mahogany-bodied guitar, but it's very pleasing. It's probably somewhere between a strat and a paul. The bridge pickup is the clearest of the two and, if you like mids, you'll love the bridge position. The neck pup has a more traditional classic rock sound IMO. And they're both brilliant on clean and distortion.I sounded just like a pro on this guitar!for variety, using the pickup selector and tone controls you can get an impressive variety of tones, moreso than most guitars I've tried. My only dislike is the splitter, but only because I want to run away from my encore and never come back.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The action is average/low and came a little higher near the higher frets. I would lower with the tune-o-matic bridge if I wasn't returning (wrong finish)
I don't Know about adjusting pickups.
I believe that the top is 1 peice.
This guitar had a few minor cosmetic flaws, but not enough to make it B-stock: 1. The finish was slightly painted onto the binding in a few places, most noticeably on the top side of the 23rd fret near the fret markers. The fretwire is the best I've ever played, including a les paul and several SGs. The quilt top is not to my liking, but the old tops and the new burst ones are different wood.Slight buzzing on the low E when played hard as you'd expect. The electronics are sturdy and silent.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I would depend on this guitar 10 times more than my old one. The finish and strap buttons seem extremely dependable. I would say it's built like a tank but it weighs nothing. Again, the neck joint is superb.

I wish I had asked for them to send me the right color before buying this, because I've heard of this happening to other people as well. I'm afraid if I get another one now it might not be so perfect. If it were stolen, I wouls tell the theif how excellent his tastes were, report him to the police and take it back. If it was lost, I'd look for it and then buy another. (THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN). I love everything except the color, which I hate, it reminds me of the schecter I returned to GC. It cannot be compared with others at this price level, (I MEAN THIS) I have tried just about every single one it is far superior in quality and playability, and better than or on par with the sub $1500 American guitars. GO BUY THIS GUITAR NOW!!!!!!!!!! (but not from muscic123).
