This is the BB, or Bridget Bardot, Model from the 1960's. For you young-uns Bridget Bardot was a 1960's Sex Kitten, as they were called back in the day. Kind of like an Anna Nicole Smith, only classy.
This is a single cut-away hollow body guitar with arched top and back that looks like Picasso designed it for George Jetson. A funky cool double cat's eye F hole with a floating pickguard that envelops the pickups and has the bridge built into it unlike anything else you'll ever see! A wood body covered in a plastic like material that some call fiberglass, some say is a very heavy laquer, but all admit is odd-ball!
Did I mention the Aluminum Neck?!? Way before Kramer and Travis Bean, but not before LSD apparently, there was the idea to make a VERY stable neck out of a light metal. The neck is capped with a rosewood fingerboard and the back is covered in plastic and ends in a slotted type headstock with a frame of aluminum and a wooden insert middle where the lollipop tuners reside!! The other end of the neck fastenes to the body with a pivot point so it's angle can be adjusted. There is no truss rod, because the aluminum neck is rigid and won't warp, so the pivot point lets you adjust action and angle.
The Electronics are housed in a little metal box that splits in half to open. Half of it goes under the top, half goes above the top, and two screws hold it together and in place in an opening in the top. The controls are two volumes and one tone and an output jack.

The Davoli/Wandre pickups in this guitar are thin in shape and thin in sound! Altogether an unremarkable sound to my ears........BUT, I've heard Buddy Miller get great sounds out of his Wandres and they use the same pickups SO, judge for yourself. Doesn't suit me, but I wish I could get Buddy's tone out of it!!! IT'S IN THE HANDS!

How do you judge a paradox wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a puzzle. This thing is so OUT THERE you either will love it........or not! The neck was too thin for me, but most people would find it very comfortable I believe. You can set it up for really light action, so it's designed well.......if bizarre!!! But, it's so cool you gots'ta give it a 10!!

It's 40 plus years old and still going, so I guess it's pretty durable. You could shovel snow with that neck and it won't change!!
