Warmoth Strat Body

This was a Strat body purchased out of their Thrift Shop. 2 piece alder body with a flame maple top. Sunburst finish. Routed for my choice trem.

Sounds awesome. I have owned many Strats over the years, and this is by far the best sounding. The body resonates very well and has a fat, punchy sound with lots of midrange. The bass comes through crystal clear, without sounding muddy. I put a Dimarzio Fast Track 2 in it, and it just screams.

The sunburst finish is absolutely STUNNING, just beautiful. The routing was perfect. I mated a Fender Mexican 50's reissue maple neck to it, which did require a little sanding of the neck cavity to make it fit. After spending a little time setting it up, the action is really low. Be prepared to drill you own holes for the pickguard and backplate, but otherwise the craftsmanship and sound is just awesome.

My stuff does get banged around, but so far no major scratches or dings. The body is delivered in a custom fit box with lots of packing.

The people at Warmoth are very friendly and know lots about their products and guitar tone in general. There website is very informative and has pictures and prices for everything.

I play this through a Marshall JCM 900, 50 watt and a 4x10 Marshall Cab. I just front end it with a Boss Super OD and a Crybaby wah. A very good combination. I have been playing for almost 20 years and these bodies just blow Fender away.

I was crusing the Warmoth web page Custom Thrift Shop and came across this beautiful Swamp Ash Sherwood Green Strat Body, so I bought it. I matched it with an early 60's reproduction neck from Subway guitars and some Fender Texas Specials and was on my way! MY pertercular body was a starndard routing strat body, but warmoth offers all kinds of differnt shapes, woods and routing options. It's sort of mind blowing and actually sometimes confusing by the time you sort out all of the combinations of woods and carved tops and finishing options.

Easily one of the best sounding strats I have EVER heard, bar none. It blows away the new American Standards by a long shot. In general I am very very disappointed in the quality of new fender stuff. Warmoth has really come though in filling in the gap between people who want "Fenders" and people who actually want good sounding guitars.

Beautiful finish. I have dealth with warmoth before and their body joins are all good and clean, the routing is allways clean. They are top quality, even if you get some of the "Thrift Shop" stuff...trust me, it isn't 2nd's or anything like that.

I have other warmoth stuff that have proven to be sturdy and solid. Their neck are exceedingly stable. I really like their stuff and whenever I find myself in need I alway turn to them and recomend them to my friends.

Very helpful over the phone. Make sure that they have your order right, however. They made a mistake on a pickguard I ordered once. They were good about fixing it but it is a hassle to ship the stuff back to Washington and then have it shipped back.

I love this and everything else I have bought from Warmoth and HIGHLY recomend them. Beware that necks from other companys might not exactly fit their body's, some *slight* modification may need to be made. No biggie though. A little sand paper and your on your way.
I would freak if I lost it...but then again I could just build another one exactly the same if I wanted. It's great. It's not cheeper $$ wise to build a warmoth guitar, you spend about the same as a "Real" fender...except I think that the new "Real" fenders are sub-standard in may ways, and the warmoth for the same amount of $$ can be built premium, cheep or anywhere in between. The added stability alone of the Warmoth Necks is worth it. I love their stuff.

The body I ordered form Warmoth was already made and available in their thrift shop for $300 US. It is a swamp ash body with flame maple top, finished in a rich tobacco burst. They were really good with my order, and set me straight with the routing for a Wilkinson trem. Three single-coil sized pickup slots and all pot routing was already done also. I have fitted this body with three EMG-SA's and a Wilkinson trem.

This was a first for me. I have never made an instrument and already have a couple tailored to 'my sound'. None-the-less I thought I would give it a shot and the result is a really gorgeous body that I'm sure will sound incredible once my neck arrives for it. The main point of this post is to hail recognition for Warmoth's customer body building expertise. They really have their shit together. I have never seen a body of this quality.

The guitar was fitted by myself, but the finish is freakin gorgeous. All routing was done perfectly. No flaws, nicks, dents or imperfections in either the wood or the finish.

These bodies are built like the best of them...in fact I think they ARE the best of them ;-)

I have been playing guitar for 11 years now, and before that piano and violin. I have used and own several instruments, all of perfect performance in my opinion. The Warmoth however seems to be the best one yet, with the most gorgeous finish I have ever seen. I plan on buying several bodies from them in the future, probably with their dyed finishes, and create the perfect guitars. This is simply a perfect solution to someone who wants the ultimate guitar.
